Equipment for small spaces?

Hi everyone!

I need help finding a good piece of cardio equipment for a very small space. I live in a small apartment in NYC with my parents and only have the space in my bedroom to work in, which is the problem. I'm trying to lose weight and I decided that I'd like a good piece of equipment at home for when I can not make it to the gym or outside for exercise, due to bad weather or some other factor. But the VERY limited space is where I get stuck. I have enough room to use equipment, but not enough room to keep it there. It would have to be something I could put away when I'm finished.

I've found products like folding-ellipticals, folding-treadmills and things like that, but how safe and effective are those? I read a few horror stories about that kind of equipment falling apart while in use because of the frequent folding/unfolding.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I'd definitely appreciate them.

Thanks in advance!

Can you perform bodyweight stuff in your room???

Burpees, jumping jacks, split jumps, mountain climbers, jump rope etc will do the trick without any equipment.

I only know what jumping jacks and jump rope are, I have no idea what a burpee is lol, but yes I can do those and will look into the others. I do try to avoid them though because I live in an upstairs apartment and the jumping on the floor can be kind of noisy. But.. if I can not find another option, I have no problem doing that. In fact I usually prefer not using equipment at all, I just think it would be easier while being confined to this space. I've tried several cardio videos that had me moving all over the place and I just end up walking into walls or hitting things, haha! :yelrotflmao:

I'm quite limited on space myself and have found that a rowing machine, which I can easily lean vertically against a wall between sessions, is pretty good when trying to balance benefits vs space.
