Hi, just started ephedrine with my sister. I lost 5lbs in first 3-4 days and since then i havent lost anything, thats over 2weeks now, my sister is doing great and loosing 2-4 lbs every week. What am i doing that is so wrong. I have about 10-14lbs to loose. I'm getting frustrated now at not seeing results, i have tried sooo many diff amounts but still no budge from scales. Any suggestions? Dentee

Ephedrine doesn't negate the reality of thermodynamics.

If you are eating too much, no amount of pill popping is going to trigger weight loss.

Saying you walk every day and you're not a big eater means very little.

i know but i have always been relatively fit. i walk my dogs so its a brisk walk and my diet is vegetarian and relatively good, odd choc attack but who doesn't? will try fitday, see whats thats about, thanks. Bet ya it'll shame me

What does fit have to do with energy balance?

Or let's look at it differently. If it's not that you're eating too much or expending enough to generate a deficit required for weight loss... what else do you think it could be?

It is probably just me but it seems like you're asking a loaded question; loaded with an answer you already believe to be true. If not, sorry for the assumption.

I've seen many fat vegetarians.

And 'good' doesn't mean calorically controlled.

It's really just a free, nifty platform for analyzing your diet day in and out.

When you do sign up for FitDay be sure to be honest. Keep in mind what the serving size realy is - & not what your serving on a plate is. CHances are your servings are much bigger then what the actual serving is supposed to be. FitDay helps make you aware of what your intake is which inturn helps you to be more careful of what you are eating.

Even though you say you are fit & walk all the time - your body gets used to doing the samething all the time so afater awhile you need to switch it up some make your walks longer add another excercise into the mix. That way it helps to kick start the burning process again.

Excellent point.

But a food scale.

This I'm not too sure about.

Hi there... i tried dieting and healthy exercise for three weeks, managed to lose about 2lbs (so much for my efforts)

That amazes me. You gave up on yourself that quick. You're so centered on believing weight loss comes easily and quickly that when progress wasn't matched with your expectations, you turned to pills.

I'm sorry but your expectations need to be tweaked and then managed much, much better.

And you don't fail until you stop trying. Of course trying the same thing over and over again is insane. But that's why when something isn't working or it isn't working as good as you want it to be, you respond accordingly by assessing your approach and tweaking it slightly.

so ive got some Ephedrine now. I am on day three, my weight before hand was 9st 8. Im going to weight myself again on tuesday to see if there has been any efffect. Ive been working out loads and eating one good meal a day. I started taking one Ephedrine in the morning with one caffine pill. Now im on two pills, one in the morning and one around lunch time. Ive had no major side effects. My pills are only 8mg pills but I trying to take them as safely as possible, Over the next couple of days i am going to take two pills in the morning and one at lunch time, slowely increasing the dose, then i will have a break after a week or so.

Listen, as I noted above your expectations are all screwed up. If you lose weight on this it's not b/c of the pills. The pills effects on metabolic rate are negligible. If you lose weight it's going to be for the sole fact that you're eating a ridiculously low number of calories, assuming your one meal per day isn't retardedly high in calories.

Why do you believe such an extreme approach is necessary?

Why do you believe the basics don't work?

Can anyone tell me if they think that this ammount of ephedrine will have a decent effect. Ive struggled with my weight for a long time. Wb thanx.. xxx

I'm assuming you went and had a checkup at the doc before deciding to take this drug? Testing for things such as blood pressure and heart rate are critical before putting a stimulant such as this into your body. That's assuming you thing dying is a bad thing.

It can be a very dangerous substance *if* there are contraindications or you don't know what you're doing and disregard instruction. The fact that you haven't figured out the very basics of dieting yet would be a red flag for any professional, including myself. to steer you away from going down the route you are.

If you're deadset on using this before you have the basics down, I'd start with 10 mg of ephedrine and 100 mg of caffeine taken once per day and go from there based on how you react.

Most of the research on the topic uses a dosage of 20 mg ephedrine and 200 mg of caffeine taken three times per day. This is your upper limit. Start at the lower and work your way toward the upper gradually.

But that's only if you decide to do this. I'm hoping you heed my advice instead.
