Hi all,
I'm rather new to this - not forums, but the whole weight loss thing.
I'm 19 years old and probably just over 400lbs at the moment - not good, I know. I'm a bit frightened of going on a scale, if I don't know for sure then it doesn't have to be real!
I'm fed up with seeing all my friends getting caught up in romantic lives and not being a part of that, and I think it's time for a change. Not only that, but I don't want to be 30-odd and still fat, that'll do me no good.
I know absolutely nothing about weight loss. I've always been a fussy eater, and as much as I don't think I should blame others for my failures, I can't help but feel like at a younger age my parents should have taught me the value of nutrition a bit better. But hey, I'm a grown up now, need to sort myself out. I'm a Pescatarian who doesn't really like that many vegetables, but I've gotten much much better recently, I regularly eat lettuce, cucumber, peppers, corn, and anything with tomatoes. I don't get a great deal of exercise but I'm thinking of ways to improve on that as well. I would be really grateful for some pointers on starting out, some tips maybe to ease me into this frightening world.
Nice to meet you all.
Joe.
