energy issues?

so theoretically with me eating 5-6 small meals a day and exercising, my energy level should go UP, right?

not so! this week has been week one of my mealplan and exercise regimen and i've just been feeling absolutely zonked! i'm brain dead at work, i'm so tired i don't feel like doing a darn thing around the house - it's frustrating! of course after i get back from exercising, i always feel better. . . .and maybe it's lack of sleep? my sleep schedule is always totally bizarre because i work night shift. but that was bizarre for the past two years. . . . .why would it be giving me trouble now?

just wondering if anyone else had a similar experience when they first started out their plan or if i should maybe talk to my doc about it. i have a physical appointment coming up, but it's not till december. or maybe i just need to wait it out and the energy level will start to pick up.

I have just started out on my diet, and have found the same thing... eating often, excercising lots, and yet I feel exhausted. But I think that is because I really am excercising and working so much. And although we are eating a lot we are cutting down on the sugar... we are still relying on burning our body fat for energy, right? (The whole idea of the diet!)

I dont know much about it really, but as I say I'm finding the same. I'm just hoping as my body gets more used to it and I get settled into a routine things will improve. :)

I'm the same way, I just started about a week ago. And I just woke up from a 1 and a half hour nap cuz I was feeling really tired. I'd say its just our bodies adjusting to this new change and once we've been doing it for a while, then our bodies will adapt.

thanks so much guys, at least i have a reason behind my feeling so exhausted now!!! hopefully by the end of next week i'll be feeling more energized!!
