effin suck...

OK. It doesn't sound like there is an impingement injury and your rotator cuff seems good to go.

I'm stumped. It might have something to do with your coracoacromial ligament or your coracohumeral ligament. But I'm just guessing.

Your best bet is to go to physio for an assessment (I know it's expensive, but there is something going on your shoulder and you need to know what it is). The physiotherapist will most likely be able to diagnose your problem within 3 minutes ;)

Then once you know exactly what your injury is, you can post the results :)

It might also be your coracoclavicular ligament. You know when you wiped out on your bike? Did you go over the front handlebars? You might have started the shoulder issue at that point in time ...

A/C (acromioclavicular) injuries are common in mountain biking.

When I wiped out on my bike, the only thing was my foot slipped off hte pedal. Nothing else happened. I was actually standing upright when it happened. No fall, stumble or injury (other than the pedal gnawing away at my skin).

I'm going back to my intial instincts: go see a physiotherapist or whatever you guys have down in the US that deals with these types of injuries.

You should not ignore this. Shoulders are extremely complex joints, and it doesn't take much of an injury to wreak havoc with the joint.

Really sucks. I decided I'll try to go on payday. When I changed hte bars and stem on my bike, it actually doesn't hurt when I'm on the front end anymore. Only if I do a sudden jerk move like a bunnyhop or something that involves yanking on the bars.

But otherwise, the sparse usage of my right arm at work has help tremendously. Although, I do still get some discomfort there.

I sure hope everything works out for you. Injuries suck. Not only have I been there, done that, I'm doing it right now ;)

They're so frustrating ... and sometimes very difficult to pinpoint without an MRI.

I'm glad your arm feels better, and I hope it doesn't take long for it to heal.
