Hey there, my name's Ashley and I'm recovering from anorexia and bulimia. I'm finally determined to pursue a normal, healthy lifestyle and am really excited about joining this forum since I've never done this before! I'm really excited about learning as much as I can from all the people who post here. In the meantime, I'm still struggling to put together healthy, appropriate meals but do include physical activity like walking for at least two hours almost everyday.

Thanks for taking the time to read the post!

I am so pleased that you have decided to join the forum.

I also think that it is great that you have said that you would like to join my challenge. I am convinced that you will learn a lot about eating healthily from both the sticky threads in the nutrition section and by doing the challenges that I set.

The challenge may seem daunting at first because I am giving points in several areas already for reinforcing habits learnt over the last few weeks - but if you are having difficulty coping with adopting too many at once - you could concentrate on a couple a week. How you play catch up is really down to you.

Many people struggle to adopt really healthy eating habits - but if we can do so our bodies really thrive on getting the right fuel. Sound nutrition combined with regular exercise is a great way of controlling our weight. We may not have all had the same background and experiences - but many of us need to learn the same lessons. I was long-term severely morbidly obese. Many of us could have shortened our life expectancy if we had continued going the way that we were.

You will probably feel like you are being asked to eat so much - that people cannot possibly not gain weight on that kind of regular diet. The fact is that people can eat quite a lot of really healthy food and still control their weight. A lot of people that havent had your background feel that they should be eating less.
