Hello everyone I have just joined so I thought I would write a little about myself in the hope of meeting some exciting awesome people ^_^ My name is Echo, or at least it is to the internet word! I am in my early 20s and from the UK.
I've really only just started on this whole weight loss thing, I have been really watching what i eat for about a week and a half (and lost 2lbs in the first week
) although I have lost around 5lbs in the last few months with smaller changes. I have about 50 - 60 lbs to loose in total being 5'1 and around 178 at the moment.
I have always used food as a coping strategy and its been intertwined with my emotions for as long as I can remeber. my weight has been up and down over the years depending on how I have been feeling emotionaly. In September 09 life threw a whole lot of bad stuff in my direction, my best friend died unexpectedly and the partner I had been planning a life with uped and left. My weight rocketed to an all time high of 185.
The first thing I hope to achieve is a little damge control on this situation, get back to a more healthy weight. But secondly and more importantly I want to try and change my attitudes towards food, I mean bad stuff happens, and I cant reply on food to make me feel better, because ultimatly it doesnt.
Anyway now you know my life story! I will try to keep a journal of all my ups and downs in the diary section so I hope you will all take a look and somehow we can all help eachother to be what be want to be!
