Hello,

I'm on a mission to LOSE weight. I've hired a trainer and have completely changed the way I eat. I just want to make sure I'm doing everything correctly, everyone has a different way to lose weight. Here is an average day for me:

Breakfast: A protein shake OR oatmeal/ with 3 hardboiled eggs (no yolk)

Snack: an apple or some kind of fruit and/or a protein bar OR a 90 cal wheat
snack pack thing

Lunch: Chicken breast with veggies OR a lean cusine

Snack: hard boiled eggs Or some turkey OR a yogurt

Dinner: 4 oz. salmon and veggies OR chicken and veggies

I try to eat 6 times a day are atleast snack on an apple inbetween meals while at work all day.

I've been working with a trainer 3 days a week. We do cardio and weight lifting. I've been doing this for 2 weeks , yes I know this is not a LONG time, but honestly for the drastic change I've made...I feel no different. Is there something I can be doing better?

I appreciate ANY help, thank you!!

Give it time, listen to your trainer and never try to force feed yourself foods you don't like just because you think they are good for you. You have to incorporate foods you enjoy eating (even if they are a lower fat variety) if you want long term success.

Also, for me...it took about 4 weeks to start seeing results when I first began dieting and an exercise program. It was very frustrating...and how I found this forum. You just keep doing the right thing and it works, sooner or later.

ETA..tracking what I eat and what I burn on fitday.com helps me more than I can possibly express.

Heyyy your beginning stats are exactly like mine!!! I'm 5'8 and started out at 230.

Give your body time to adjust to the new changes your making. You mentioned that it's only been two weeks... it takes a good four weeks to see some change. The body needs to recognize that what you're doing isn't just a quick fix and that it's an actual change. Once it realizes that the body will change for you, so don't fret.

It's awesome that you're making the change and don't give up. How long are you doing the cardio portion of your routine?

Hey there! I think you're eating well and doing the cardio and weights is great!

Do you do cardio and weights the same 3 days a week?

I love the hard boiled egg approach, I think they're little white miracles, each one of em :) no kidding i probably eat 4-6 whites a day to curb appetite and get a nice little protein shot, and it really seems to be working for me :) good luck and stay motivated, we can do it!

I think your diet is really solid.

How much cardio and weight lifting do you do? How intense is it?

The change in weight loss will be very gradual. You clothes will start to fit better, you'll start to look better, but you won't be able to tell from one day to the next. Be consistent most of the time and hop back on the horse when you fall off. You're current plan looks really good.
