I'm feeling very unmotivated. this is why.
so ive been working out pretty much everyday (5-6 days a week)..lifting weights and doing HIIT. and ive been losing about an average of 1.8lbs a week. but then this last week, i weighed in at 168.5, and should have been 168 on friday morning.
however, on thursday night i went out to the bar for a couple of hours with a friend of mine. I had 3 coors lights and a jack&diet. The next morning i weighed in at 170. great.
then this morning (saturday), i weighed in at 172.
I mean come on! it took me 2.5 weeks to lose those 4 pounds, and i gain it back by drinking 3 beers?!
is this true, do you really gain weight back THAT quickly by straying the tiniest bit, or could there be other reasons for the weight gain.
anyway, its very discouraging. and i realize that to get the best results one must cut out drinking completely, but i went from like 7 drinks a day/ 6 days a week, to drinking once every 1-2 weeks, and only having a couple of drinks on those days.
It just doesnt make much sense to me, that i can stay at a steady 180 pounds, and drink as much alcohol as i want, eat whatever i want, and sit on the couch all day.
but a solid month of working out everyday, eating very very few if any carbs, eating all healthy food, drinking water consistantly, cutting out booze, and lifting weights would all be negated by a couple beers one night.
