Dont know where too start!

Hi, Im 17 years old turning 18 next month 14th, I am 6ft tall maybe 6'1 or 2 and i am not sure how much i weigh but i would say im around 220. I really want too get in shape but............i dont know how? I eat A LOT! Im from puerto rico and i eat rice almost every day, and a type of meat. that is basiclly my dinner, through out the day i eat ceral or maybe a sandwich.

Now the first thing that come into my mind is stop eating as much! eat less fats! and do lots of crunches, sit-ups, and push-ups. But the truth i dont know anything about exercise and i want some advise! What should i do? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
 
start by reading the stickied threads in this forum, especially in the on topic and nutrition forums.. then move on to the exercise forum...

and do your best to keep a record of how many calories you are consuming.

Hi,
I suggest you start taking walks each evening. That's easy to do and it can cut a lot of fat off your body. I think that walking will be better than crunches and push-ups as it's aerobic.

you are still young, no wonder if you want to lose weight easily. Do you know that sit up is not too effective to build your abs muscle? Read some experts guide, many basic training is much useful than sit ups. Anyway, you need to eat vegetables, it is a must if you want to stay healthy.
