Does this happen to anyone else?

Hi all!

Back in the day when I was thinner and worked out on a semi-regular basis, I noticed that I wouldn't be hungry for the whole day after I did a good workout. I started workingout last week, and I'm trying to ease my way into it again. (I don't want to hurt myself or get myself sick.) Yesterday was my first more intense workout. It wasn't really intense, but I worked harder than I have been. I did this in the morning, and again I wasn't hungry for the rest of the day. It is a strange feeling for me to have to force myself to eat. I'm not complaining, but I am curious if this happens to anyone else? And if anyone might know why?

Thanks much,

Beth

maybe you were eating out of boredom???? At the very least you should eat 3 meals preferably 6 little ones

I don't know why you're not hungry after you exercise, but its not a bad thing. It could help you. Stick to the amount of calories you need per day, eat fruits, veggies, whole grains, nuts, etc.. even if you arent hungry. Spread it out through the day and keep active and you'll be at your goal in no time.

Not feeling hungry could help you, so you don't munch on things that are bad for you. Don't make yourself sick by stuffing yourself with food, eat it through out the day.

I recommend brazil nuts. They're good for you and high in calories. Roughly 500 calories for 30 nuts.

Hi,

Thanks much for the input! I do try to eat well and 3-5 times a day, but I'll have to be careful to make sure I do it if this trend still contineues. I'm working towards smaller portions more often. I had just sort of forgotten that not-eating trend until I put some effort into my workout. I'll definately try some of those nuts and keep some around in case this not-hungry thing really persists.

Thanks again,

Beth

I do tend to eat healthy when I workout; the days I dont workout I end up eating all sorts of foods without a thought to it; I dont know what is the connection but maybe sub consciously my mind realizes how hard I have worked to burn off those calories and dont want to sabotage my hardwork.

That happens to me sometimes too. I can't explain it, but I don't care - I need all the help I can get in terms of eating!
