I was just posting on about my motivation to lose weight.
I was saying that a few years back when I was just dabbling in getting fit and healthy my reasons for losing weight were pretty poor, i.e. they had little personal impact. That resulted in pretty bad willpower and we all know how much willpower it takes to lose any weight.
Then I turned a corner, realised that I really wanted to change and that made my reasoning a lot more personal to me. it wasn't that I was trying to bend to societies expectations anymore it was that I'd now started setting my own expectations. As a result the willpower that I've built on this foundation of reasoning has got much better and I'm starting to see the weight come off.
I've still got a long way to go but I just thought I'd pop on and share. Maybe it's a good thing to look at why your trying to lose so that you can get things into better perspective.
