Do people have diffirent muscle density?

So I heard a guy who said he reps with a 35 pound dumbbell, and has 15 inch biceps.
I do exercise reps with a 30 pound dumbbell, (around 33 including the bar), and I'm still quite slender looking.
Do people have diffirent muscle densities, or did he probaby just have more fat? I've never fully understood this.

could be more fat or neural. it's not just the muscle size that matters, it's how you use it, which is controlled by the nervous system.
Dunno if people can have different densities of their muscles. it's a complicated question.

Yeah, I've realized for quite some time that you can't really judge someones strength just by looking at them.
Some people just seem to have larger or smaller muscles for a given strength.

Sorry to hijack your thread but I also use a 30 pound db but when it comes to concentration curls/hammer curls I manage with my right no problem but struggle with my left.

My question is, should I continue using the same weight on my weaker side or should I use a LIGHTER WEIGHT to finish that particular exercise.

Oh and as for your own question, it could very well be down to some guys are just stronger than others!

Yeah, I suppose they are. Like Arthur Saxon was 5'10, 200 pounds and able to lift 448 pounds above his head. There's also people who don't weigh much at all that are able to lift incredible ammounts. I think genetics has a lot to do with it.

For your exercise, I would't use a lighter weight unless it is so difficult you can't finish the exercise. Just don't increase the weight anymore until you even out. At first my left arm wasn't as strong as my right, though now I'd say they're about the same.
If I find a weight difficult to lift, it helps me if I imagine I'm a Cylon robot.
