hello all members,

I'm new to this forum & hope to get answer to my case.

Let me just share with you what I'v seen recently,

Yesterday, I came across a website that is diplaying a video about overweight women, as I'm one of them,

After watching the video, I become more confused and frustrated.

Here is the link to the video:



I just watched this video and almost can’t believe some of the stuff this guy says, and I am now left wondering whether or not this guy is right.

So, I am putting the question to everyone on this forum:
Do men find fat women attractive?
Do I have to become slim for guys to find me attractive?

Please take some time to view the video and then you can advice.

Wow, that video is pretty harsh. I actually turned it off after a minute or so.

I look at some of the before and after pictures here and think 'wow, you look great. and you looked pretty yummy before too' But to each his own.

And screw that guy in the video, he's an ass.

sorry but this sort of poll is actually in bad taste seeing how some people here..men and female..have body issues as is.

More or less, its always going to come down to 'to each their own'. Next time you're taking a walk outside, look at the various couples, and I'm sure you'll see a pretty decent mix. From my own counting over the years, I find it more common (about a 4-5:1 ratio) to see an average or skinny guy with a heavier woman than an average or skinny woman with a heavy guy.

I think that says something right there.
 
I wonder if this is a bit of a troll, The same poll and post is posted on other forums as the only ever post by the poster ?

I am confused.

I don't understand why you posted this under the New Moms thread; this is for New Moms to voice themselves, and while men may occasionally peruse this thread out of their own curiosity, the info here is really not for them. That is my first concern.

My second and more important concern is your mindset. Why are you concerning yourself with what men find attractive? You'll never be satisfied because there is no one answer to this.

And, why exactly are you here? Are you here to get healthy and lose weight, or are you only looking for male affirmation on whether or not they find larger women attractive?

Though, in general, people tend to group attractiveness and weight together, these factors are actually independent of each other. What I mean is, skinny does not equal attractive, nor does attractive = skinny. They can exist together, but they are not equal.

Are there men out there that find larger women attractive? Of course there are. Do you want those men? That is your discretion. Are there men out there that find skinny women attractive? You bet. Do you want those men. Again, your discretion. It is just like asking if men prefer brunettes or blondes, tall or short, smart, funny, etc. Come on- seriously.

My experience is that different men find all sorts of things attractive, confidence being one of them. We women care far too much about what men find attractive and spend too little time asking what we find attractive in men.

Anyway, the support you're gonna find here is for getting healthy in whichever way that works best for you. So, why not turn your focus into living a healthy, active life and only worry about what kind of men YOU find attractive and want to be with?
 
This video wouldn't offend me as much if this asshole didn't try and "speak for all men." As if this guy *knows* what ALL men are thinking...really?

Other than that...well...a turn off is a turn off. If he doesn't find fat woman attractive...okay. I don't find men who don't bathe attractive, but I'm not speaking for all woman when I say that.

But what is your reason for it? If it is to see what others really see, you will never see a real answer cause you have no where near enough choices. It is like saying Are you normal? Well, what is normal. Same with personal tastes.


If it is for your own validation of self worth, that is something you need inside and to talk about.

Obese is not attractive! Obese is very over weight, and unhealthy. How ever if you want to try wording the choices better, I've deffinately met some chubby girls who were very attractive.

Do you have to be skinny to be attractive? No
Is being obese attractive? No
 
lol... this poll. you should also add, "in-between", little overweight, overweight, and then obese in that range.

anyways, im not a man, but i can tell you that my fiancee complements me in many ways (lol) and it was purely my idea alone to lose weight, in fact, im making him help me :D hahah

yes, some men actually do. havnt u heard the song "i like big butts"? um, you kinda have to be overweight to have a big butt lol. i remember one time i was out, and i saw this car that had writing all over it "i love fat women" lmao.

nope, because like i said not all men like skinny women. some guys dont find boney women attractive. some guys love curves. some guys dont really mind and just love you for who you are. in fact, i find it pretty hypocritical for some guys that are overweight themselves to only want slimmer women, thats just my opinion though.

but if you want to lose weight, dont do it for others, do it for yourself, and it will make you feel so much better about yourself and give you a lot more confidence. even if you are only a little over weight, dont be quick to think that no men will like you, because there are men out there who love it.

1. As somebody already says, its funny that he thinks he represents all men when some men ONLY like bigger women.

2. I notice he makes some charming statements about how bigger women behave during sex - well how would he know? (Obviously as a man never attracted to bigger women, he'd never have been in that situation! ;))

3. He's blatantly a sexist idiot... He talks about how fat women will "fill the cupboard with processed foods and carbs" and make their daughters fat as well - but not their sons? He has some funny ideas.

Lol, I tried to listen to it all... but found I switched off after about 10 minutes. I think he likes the sound of his own voice!!! 25 minutes... blimey.:rolleyes:
 
Know what Maggie I'm going to make it even easier. Don't care about what others think. What do you find attractive? A large overweight man with a gut? A very skinny slim built man? Or a jacked meat head gym beast? Or something inbetween? Because if you do find overweight guys attractive, then understand there must be other people out there with your same tastes... if you don't you could only ever imageion being with a thin muscular guy, then your poll is very hypocritical and shouldnt even need to be answered.
 
I don't think this guy is particularly harsh or offensive. In fact, I was underwhelmed at the whole video, and fast-forwarded only out of boredom. These are all things I've heard before... and, really, I'm surprised if those 15 reasons come as a shock to any woman who has ever been overweight.

I'm not praising this guy... I think his video is boring and uninventive. I just felt the need to put in my 2 cents since I spent a good 15 minutes of my day watching it.

I am interested on what the men here have to say...

I suppose there are some guys that prefer fat women. I haven't met any. The guy in the video spent a lot of time belaboring the obvious.

Of course, the same applies to women's preferences for men, I am sure. Just by watching the movies made to appeal to women, I know the type of guys women are attracted to. It's not fat old slobs.

By the way, let me say this... Queen Latifah, put on some clothes. Lots of clothes. Please.

I'm not sure this is 100% true ... at least not in my case. Movies are a bad example of what people are attracted to as "the norm". Movies usually only represent the extreme. I would take Jack Black or Penn Gillette over Brad Pitt any day ... but maybe that's just me.

Russell Crowe is dreamy too, but even he has been a bit beefy and soft around the middle in his movies.
 
Men find fat women comfortable, so I would say yeah.
You can still e sexy even if your overweight? Make the most of what you've got, looks, nice hair clothes and bundles of personality.
Men dont like stick insects.:iagree:
