Before I lost my weight, I tried several diets and found that these themed diets all try to do the impossible and 99% of them fail. You cannot cheat your way to good health, and there's no loopholes in our body's perfectly balanced system that won't negatively affect some part of our health. There are some short cuts in external factors of weight loss, but not many. I failed with so many diets, but the one I didn't fail at was using my common sense and a little motivation.
I wrote a book about all my weight loss techniques and secrets and posted it section by section on my(removed) I've kept the weight off for about two years now and whenever I start to get off track, I go back and read my book and remember those few "ah-HAs!" that led me to where I am today.
