Dirty Bulking example

Actually he did some serious overeating. Look at his first meal alone 7 weetabix, 2 eggs and a glass of milk? Continental chicken is tasty but not 7 or 8 times a day. There's probably 4000-5000 cals in there. A sumo wrestler would have been proud of that.

whoa 7 crackers, 2 eggs, and milk!! :cook:

a whole 400 calories...

Actually, aren't weetabix bigger than crackers, like huge chunky things the size of a granola bar? I seem to recall them being really large. Like two of them fit in a cereal bowl and usually make up the entire breakfast. Or maybe I was just really little last time I ate them.

 I've been eating 4,000 Kcals and losing weight, 4-5k is beginner stuff. I bet a sumo guy is on more like 9-10k

And yeah, Weetabix aren't crackers, they're big chunky weet cakes that you add milk to. I once ate about 10 in one sitting as a student and couldn't crap for about a week:action14:

4-5K is not "beginner stuff" for a 130lbs 16/17 year old. That is overeating given his BMR. Looking at his diet again 14 weetabix, 7 eggs as well as the processed chicken over 9 meals could be as much as 7,000 cals. Such a huge surplus is only asking for trouble.

But at 200lbs, which was his weight at the time of posting that diet, 4,000Kcals is about what I'd expect from someone weight training. Like I said, I can cut on 4,000 and I'm only about 220lbs. 7k? Yeah that's a lot for 200lbs but looking at the diet he posted I doubt he was getting in that many

I think what we have to take into account here though, regardless of how many calories you lot or even a sumo wrestler can or can't handle, is that clearly his metabolism couldn't handle the food intake to calorie burn ratio he was imposing on it, and he did not recognize this as he was inexperienced and apparently had no idea what his body should be looking like during this process.

Yep. Each person's magic number to gain muscle or lose fat is irrelevant. What is relevant is finding your number, it might be way ahead of what a similar sized person eats or might be way less. As long as you are losing fat or gaining muscle, you gots you the perfect setup. This guy was obviously way off base with his magic number.

I am currently losing substantial fat and gaining substantial muscle simultaneously, on what looks to me like more calories than he ate.

Didn't bother reading it all, but as folks have said, homeboy obviously was either eating too much for him (and not from quality sources, perhaps?), not working hard enough, or both.

Calorie numbers can be very strange, though. At least in my experience. I was taking in <1600 calories/day (average) on the velocity diet, and am currently taking in >4000 calories/day (average) just eating clean Berardi-style (with some half-ass carb cycling guidelines). The strange part? Results are roughly the same, if not better, eating 2.5-3 times as much. At least I think so (because I look and feel leaner than I did on the v diet, 20 lbs lighter) - will be able to say for sure ~Sept 26th.

This reminds me I need to do a ton of cardio tomorrow. I ate a ton of kebabs last weekend and felt sick. It must be purely psychological as I used to enjoy kebabs with the sauces/chilli.

It's not just calories in calories out, this guy ate like crap. Not an unprocessed vegetable in sight. Look at the acne on his face. His body isn't working properly. That's not high octane fuel; he's pissing in the gas tank.

7 Weetabix without milk = 450cals
2 eggs can equal up to 300 depending on size.
Milk again is like 50 calories per 100ml. If he drank 300 ml (a glass) that'd be 150. Plus lets say he had 300ml on his weetabix. That's a total of 750 calories + not including the eggs.

I've never seen a egg so huge that is 150 calories each

Even the "extra large" eggs down here are only 80 calories a piece.

What kind of eggs are you eating Wood? Ostrich eggs?

My 'large' eggs from Tesco are 110 calories. Last time when I had 'extra large' they were 160. So meh :sport:
