i would like to know the answers to those questions but my main focus is question 1 and 2 because im thinking about getting some because i still have my muscular build but during the winter fat has totally build up on me

and the 2nd question about sweating to

THANKS!!!!!!

many fat burners don't work at all.

the ones that do only work if your diet is already spot-on. honestly the 'best' time for them is when you're down ot the last 5 lbs of stubborn fat. generally I don't recommend them because they're not a long term solution, and that 5lbs of fat really isn't a health concern.

some people sweat easily, some don't. if you never sweat unless its a really hot room, you may not be working hard enough. then again that could be normal for you to just not sweat much.

eat all the fruits and veggies. no one fruit or veggie is enough (also, corn, potatoes...don't count as veggies. they are both starchy carbs)

tone up...

Toning is just another way to say "I lost body fat, and thus the muscle underneath now shows". losing body fat is more about diet than your workout...though being 'active' is kinda necessary to help burn that fat off along with a caloric restriction.

push ups and sit ups/crunches will only get you so far. the body will get used to it because you're unable to easily increase the weight on the exercises, and more reps doesn't necessary compensate for lack of resistance. in other words, heavy weights or a gym would make this all happen faster and better.

just to add to what Malkore said....

you may want to look into body weight exercises. There are many exercises you can do without weights or any equipment. You can google it.

here are some:

You can also get creative and use what you have around the house. like keeping gallon plastic jugs of milk when they are done and fill them with sand and carry them up the stair, or lift them like curls.

I know the guys here have posted sites before. Do a search of the forum. You'll find a lot of info already listed.....

Long time ago (about 2 years ago) I used to be kinda fat guy. I've got some problems with my weight. I mean that I used to eat too much and no exercises. I've also got social problems, because of my weight, I mean that it is hard to find girlfriend when you are a bit bigger than the usual. My brother also made jokes of me. It was hard period for me actually. And then I figure it out. I decided to start a new life, to look cool ;) . It was hard journey , but I managed to reach my goal after 8 months of workout and diets. I also used some pills ( which I will recommend you later). Trough this long way I collected information from internet. So I will recommend you the most useful website for weight-loss products. I wont recommend you websites for workout, because it is different for each of you and you have to find out your own training plan. So here is the website: naturalhealthandfitnessproducts.com

What Malkore said as far as supps and sweating go. You don't need supps and you don't need to sweat :). What you need to realize about fat burners is this: The ONLY way they MAY actually help as far as thermogenesis is concerned, is if your diet is spot on. And if your diet is spot on, you would be losing weight anyway. So the only time you'd ever need it is, as said, if you were looking at getting to like <5% bodyfat. Other than that, they often "work" because they give you energy and work as placebo, both of which can probably be accomplished via caffeine if you want help.

diet pills don't work i have tried so many of them and all they are is chemicals that you keep puting into your body day in a day out. the only reason diet pills may seem to work is becuase you have to diet and exercise with them well if you diet and exercise right your going to lose the weight anyways.

thats not tru if you don't sweat your not workin out. when i workout i probably workout harder then anyone else in that gym at least most of them and i do not sweat one bit until i get into the sauna. and even in the sauna it takes me 10-15 minutes at 120 deg to start to sweat

If your body doesn't sweat when you work out, you are not workimng out. Sweating is not a character trait, it is a biological reaction to body core temperature. If your not creating enough body heat, then you are not going to sweat.

That's not true. Some people do not sweat the way others do. I, personally, have to do some type of metabolic training or intervals or prolonged steady cardio to really sweat. I don't sweat hardly at all if I'm doing say 5x5, at least not until I get to squats.

Unfortunately I have always been the opposite. LOL...even back when I was a kid and very fit playing sports all the time, all I had to do was think of excercise and the sweat would bead up on my brow. I am a person that you could think worked out from the amount of sweat I produce but I might have just been thinking about working out....kind of like people who say they gain weight by looking at cake...LOL

Kids in wrestling hated me because I was sweating before the match even started which did help my sprawl LOL

To the OP, I have never been on diet pills nor have I ever heard of anything good. My family physician has told me to completely avoid them as there are some things that can affect you very badly, like elevating your blood pressure and other things. I would suggest steering clear of them. As the others said, eat better to lose weight.

A perfect way to put the whole "sweating" thing into perspective is to just give an example situation. Imagine a guy who is 40 years old, hasn't exercised since he was a teenager, really lost it after he got married and put on a ton of weight. So now he's about 5 foot 10 weighing in at a solid 220 pounds. Put this guy on a treadmill for 40 minutes and even at a walking pace, maybe 3-4 mph, he's probably sweating BULLETS. Now take a guy who is 30 years old, has been running and lifting consistently for 15 years. Put him on a treadmill for the same amount of time at say 7-8mph and he sweats much less. Who got a better workout?

also, if the gym is cold, you're likely to not sweat much.

my gym is like a tropical paradise...I start to 'glisten' by the time I put my hoodie in a locker :)

This too. And if it's cold outside, that plays a part also. I don't sweat nearly as much working out now because I'm coming from a cold house and cold temperatures outside, so it takes me longer to warm up.

Like he said... you are not working out. Smithmiller is obviuosly trying to burn fat, not body build. 5x5?!?!?

What would you define as 'working out' then? Does it have to be cardio? As far as I'm aware it doesn't have a definition as it's a made up term with no practical application. Try aerobic or cardiovascular training instead, it actually means something. And don't get me started on cardio for fat loss over weight lifting  Why do you think you see all those gym bunnies on treadmills looking the same month after month and the guys & girls lifting can get to sub 10% (for a man) pretty easily?

and btw, 5x5 is not a bodybuilding programme, it's strength training
