I have lost 50 lbs this yaer and I can tell you the best is:

Drink only water
Eat small whole food meals every 3 to 4 hours (at the end of the day it's calories in versus calories out)
Run in the am for 60 minutes on an empty stomach
Wieght train hard 3 times a week
and
KICKBOXING!!!
KICKBOXING!!!
KICKBOXING!!!
KICKBOXING!!!
KICKBOXING!!!

Nothing will drop wieght like kickboxing, it's the king, I've done it all! :D :D :D

p.s. if you can handle jumping rope that is the s**t too. My buddy says that running is the mother of all excersises and rope jumping is the father!!!

PS

Any dieting tips while I am away on vacation? I have a two week vacation in the philipines and 1 week in California. Vacation is typically a time where I gain weight because the lack of routine, the relxed environment and sense of entitlement to indulge.

Think of half of the world that lives in absolute poverty that should strip anyone of their sense of intitlement to indulge.

Another tip write down all the things you CAN'T eat on a list and carry it everywhere with you. When you're about to order/eat/drink something whip out your list and if it's on there you'll feel so bad you won't be able to order it :)

the key to fat loss make yourself feel as guilty as possible ;)

Guilt as a method of social control, I like it.

What do you do for excercise?

Your last days diet there looks alot better than your previous stuff i have to say. As far as the sweeties n stuff go, definately lay off them if you can. BUT, if you desperately need something sweet, have something otherwise you will eventually cave in and binge and undo eveything you've done prior. Have them in moderation, for instance, have 1 cookie instead of 2 if you really are desperate but obviously don't eat them for the sake of it.

I used to be a fiend for beer, I would drink 4-6 bottles a night every night. I've had maybe 10 bottles since April right now, but if I want one, I can have one now and again with no real harm done. Same goes with chocolate and stuff, if I fancy something I won't deprive myself because I will cave in without anything at all and binge.

As you can see by my profile I've made good progress since April and continue to do so. I hope you have the same fortune.

@Incitatus, I'm not sure about the guilt=fat loss theory, people who make themselves feel guilty for eating will do nothing other than get depressed and may, in some cases, develop eating disorders such as anorexia or bulemia. It's all about willpower and moderation not guilt and deprivation.
