Did I get a good deal??

Hi all. So I have decided to make a change like many of you have. After much research I made my first purchase on my way to starting a home gym and I am curious if yall think it was a good deal.

I went with the Powerblock 5-45lbs with the stand. I was able to get them through AAFES (military) for $383 shipped. So was it a good deal? My options were limited and with AAFES I was able to use my Military Star Card.

Thanks for your thoughts and I look forward to learning quite a bit from the forum!

In my opinion, if you USE them its a good deal. The most important thing is that whatever you buy you really use because the goal is to work that body.

I have a set of free weights under the basement stairs. I put them there 15 years ago when we built this house and moved in. I haven't touched them. I have a bowflex 4 feet away that I'm using every other day. What's better, free weights or bowflex?

Technically free weights can give a far better workout and at greatly reduced cost. But in my case, the bowflex is better because I USE it and will never use the free weights.

I know this isn't the answer you were looking for, but I don't think you should doubt your decision one little bit. Start pumping those weights and never look back!
