I started today.

Woke up at 5:30 and took a long, brisk walk. I was gone for 30 minutes but I think I walked quite a bit. I'll have to measure how far it was the next time I get in the car. When I got back I had a pear and a cup of Yoplait Light yogurt. And a big glass of water. Started off great...

Then I had to pick up my bf's brother from school and he wanted to get some breakfast. So I took him to a diner. I was trying to be good, really I was! I had half a piece of ham, an egg, a dry piece of wheat toast and a little bit of hash browns. I thought it would have been horrible horrible but I calculated everything and I'm only at about 800 calories for the day. So... I do have quite a bit more to work with.

My goal is 1260 calories a day ... according to the Biggest Loser Plan. Lunch will be really light and dinner won't be huge but I will get by.

My biggest problem is recording everything, but this time I will do it. This afternoon I'm going to go do some laps in the pool ... it's 102 outside today and it will be wonderful.

Tomorrow's my Birthday and I told my bf no cake at all, we shall see what happens....

I'll write later tonight on how the rest of the day unfolded ... Until then Eat Well, Drink Up, and Get Movin'

Off to a great start. Keep it up and tell your bf instead of cake make a a big fruit salad and put the candles in there. or a huge sugar free, fat free jello bowl with fruit, etc... LOL!!! :D Enjoy your laps and don't forget to drink your water
 
Hehe thanks JellyBelly for the idea. That's too funny! With my luck though he'll buy me one of those ice cream cakes and I'll be in big trouble!

Haven't done the laps yet .... right now I"m having a salad though and some water.
 
Here's the deal. My boyfriend's brother is living with us. He's 17 and likes to break every rule known to man. He's been living with for about 2 weeks and he'll only be here for 3 more weeks and then he's going back to live with his parents. Anways it's a very complicated situation. But I'm getting very very sick of him being here. I have to do so much extra and he eats all the good food. I buy certain things for me-low fat, low carb, low cal, you know the works. But he eats it all. Like right now, he just tried to eat the Sugar Free Pistachio pudding that I just made. OMG! Seriuosly I want to just scream. I want my saniety back and most of all my privacy!

Sorry, I just had to get that off my chest because I have nowhere else to go to take care of it!

Sorry to hear about your bf brother! That is tough having a long-time visitor...kind of feels like it's an invasion of your privacy but just think when he is gone... you will appreciate your privacy that much more!! :)

As far as him eating your food, just be upfront with him... tell him you are on a diet and these foods are for your diet but he is welcome to eat anything else... if that doesn't work, put them in tupperware and label them "cabbage" or "leftovers" ha ha I don't know... it will get better in a few weeks! Hang in there and have a beautiful day... ;)

Yesterday turned out being an alright day. I ate well all day but I never did go swimming, but I did get in a walk in the morning. So I guess that's okay. Today did not start out good. Well it did and it didn't. I think I might take today off ... I mean, it is my birthday and all. My bf surprised me this morning with breakfast in bed ... blueberry pancakes, my favorite! I haven't had anything since then but I'm sure those put quite the damper on my calories for the day. Although, they were made with whole wheat pancake mix and fresh blueberries, but then the syrup, so who knows.

I just got back from running some errands ... I bought a scale but I don't like it, it's too complicated for me. So I'm going to take it back. But anyways, it didn't make me happy. It says I weigh 187, which I hope isn't true but it probably is. WheN I get my new scale I'll compare and see. I never did weigh myself when I first started, I just knew I was around 180...ugh, that much more to lose. Oh well.

No Big Deal!!! One Pound At A Time!!

Hey girl! Don't give up... lets change our outlook and be positive... It was your birthday and not that it's a green light to eat whatever you want but so you had pancakes with syrup.... it's ok... just eat better today!

As far as numbers on the scale (and I should take my own advice) don't get too wrapped up in the numbers... just keep moving!! You can do it! I have been doing my spinning classes and I feel good... I am not going to give up feeling good because the number on the scale isn't favorable... I am putting my scale in the closet and I am going to TRY to only weigh in twice a month... otherwise I get too bummed out if I don't see the scale move regardless of all my efforts... I have only lost 2 pounds but my clothes are feeling better- maybe it's in my head but I FEEL GREAT! AND SO SHOULD YOU!!
COME ON!! LET'S DO IT!!! NO GIVING UP!!! IT'S NOT ALLOWED!!!!!! AND SMILE! YOU ARE ALIVE AND HEALTHY!!!!!!!

At least your boyfriend's brother won't be there long. Is he contributing to groceries? Maybe you could tell him that he needs to buy his own???

Don't be frustrated by your weight. It's just a number! Think long term and how much better you will feel in a year after you've lost plenty of fat.

Okay I'm back to it ... my Birthday was definitely a little setback but I'm starting out today ... again, but this time I won't let parties of any type stop me. The last 2 days I haven't done great, but I have done okay. As far as exercise, I missed that but I am a Massage Therapist. So even if I don't get solid exercise in, I burn quite a few calories at work :) Today so far has been great, have to work in an hour but I'm not gonna let work get me down. We are paid for our meals at lunch and we get fed, I always try to eat a grilled chicken salad with lots of veggies.

Here's today, so far:

Breakfast - 1/2 grapefruit, Yoplait Light F/F Banana Cream Pie yogurt
16 0z water

Wow, I swear I had the longest weekend ever. I didn't journal this weekend b/c I was so busy but I did eat well and got a little exercise in here and there. Sunday I worked a 12 hour shift, so that in itself was exercise enough. Yesterday I didn't do the greatest but now I'm back at it. Tomorrow is weigh in day so hopefully everything will work out just great :)

So far today:

Breakfast- 1 medium orange, 1 Special K waffle with 1/2 T. peanut butter, and 16 oz. water

This morning was weigh-in for me and I lost 2.6. According to the Chart it says I'm up 4.4 but when I first started I put in the wrong weight, I actually started at 187. So I'm down 2.6, which is good because I didn't do too hot this week. Hopefully next week will be about the same or maybe a little more.

I have this problem, I start out the day great ... I do my exercise, I eat good and drink my water....but then it goes down hill as the day goes on. I know I can do it, but there's always something that stops me...and it's definitely food. Any tips to get me through the middle of the day???

Today started off beautifully...went for an hour long walk, with a few moments of jogging. Had my vitamins ... 2 Omega-3, 2 Vitamin C and 1 Scorch. Need to get some new Multi's, mine have expired. Right now I'm having an orange and some water. I'm thinking of going swimming in like 10 minutes, I'm really sweaty and gross and it's 72 outside already so .... I think I might go for a swim.

HEY GIRL! Just checking in on you! Good job on the weight loss! Hopefully you are swimming burning some calories! Don't forget to write in what you eat! I just updated mine... good job today so far... gotta take my vitamins too!! :D
 
Haven't gone swimming yet ... but I just went to the car wash and washed my car and cleaned it out and now I really need to clean the house. Then ... maybe I'll go swimming. But the cleaning does burn some calories ... not sure how many but I definitely break a sweat doing it.

What vitamins do you take each day?

Snack - Special K waffle (plain)

Lunch - 1 1/2 c. Salad with sunflower seeds, croutons and Tomato Herb Vinagrette, 16 oz. water

Snack - Another serving of the salad that I had for lunch, 6 strawberries, 32 oz. water

Exercise: 45 minute walk, cleaning, about 5 min. of rollerblading ... I got new rollerblades today from my BF .... made my day :)


Did great today but calorie intake wasn't too great

50 protein
19 fiber

Need more calories but I felt satisfied today so I'll try to get more in tomorrow, I'm shooting for around 1200

I'm off to another great start today...

Had an early morning walk which lasted 45 minutes and then I jumped in the pool and did a few laps. I didn't last long cuz I was hungry.

Breakfast - 1 cup Dannon Light n Fit Vanilla Yogurt with 1 banana, 16 0z. water

Snack - 1T. peanut butter

Lunch - Lean Cuisine Chicken, Spinach and Mushroom Panini (mmm...so good!), 14 baby carrots and a 16 oz. glass of Crystal Light Lemonade

Snack - 1 medium apple, 16 oz. water

Dinner - Salad with red kidney beans and garbanzo beans with 2 T. Italian dressing, 1 hardboiled small egg, 1 c. cottage cheese, Diet Coke

Drank 32 oz. water at work

Snack - 13 Snackwell's Bite Size Cookies, 1 c. f/f skim milk
