Deskercise???

Ok so I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on what a girl could do??
I have a desk job where I am required to stay at my desk almost 10 hours a day and I mean afew runs to the bathroom is almost too much time away from my desk before the works starts piling up. So to make a long story short does anyone have any ideas on what I could do at my desk to add some exercise/movement at the rate im at now seems almost impossible to lose weight. please help thanks!!!!!
 
Work on your nutrition... that will help you lose weight...

and do spend time reading the stickied threads -there's a lot of good info that you need
 
Get a little trim bike that you can stick under your desk....you can do cardio while you work.

Of course that only works if you have your own office, or if you aren't bothered if your colleagues think you're nuts! *lol*

Yes, because you can't be as active as you want, you may have to focus on your diet a bit more.

I've seen some people use stand up desks. There is some research that shows the simple act of standing increases fat burning.

It's no substitute for exercise, but it may help.

Oh, and also become a weekend warrior. Try to have really awesome workouts on the weekends.

You can also take small weights and lift them while on the phone... Proper posture will also help strengthen your abs and back... it can be very tiring at first but gets easier.

Um, I don't know what kind of office you are in but if you have floors opt for the bathroom on the floor above you and take the stairs... you can make your bathroom breaks worth while!
 
You can also try ankle weights. I have a desk job too and I have been trying to think of ways to burn a few extra calories. So I thought if I buy ankle weights, I can even do small leg lifts under my desk or I have heard of people doinf ab and butt clenches at their desk too:)
And yes I also heard that sitting up straight, and good posture help burn calories too. Bc you are using muscles that you dont normally use while sitting in a relaxed state!
 
I don't know where they sell them now, but you can get one of those things that goes in between your legs and you can work on your inner thighs all day!

Dear God I was thinking of Suzanne Somers Thigh Master..lol...Oh I am showing my age, I dont even think they sell them anymore, then I saw your link and realized that wasnt it..but a good idea, I didnt think of that:)
 
Hahahaha no i was totally thinking of that but couldn't find a picture! Man...my mom had one of those. Then she got tired of it and we just played with it :)
