I've recently been trying to ease back into fitness and gain more muscle. The past year or so ive hardly been physically active at all. My cardio is very poor. Im not overweight or anything, underweight actually. Im getting into my late 20's and now i can see fat forming around the midsection.
Right now i've been doing some running, jumproping, pushups(lots), curling. And i do them until I cant do anymore. Getting to the point. I know getting sore is a good thing, but its lasting alot longer than I think it should. After two full days im still sore, and I want to get back at it you know.
Is it true, that when you begin to work out muscles that are still sore from the previous that its actually counter productive? Should I wait until the soreness is gone?
Maybe its the result of being physically inactive for so long? Will this 'down time' decrease as I keep working out?
