Curls hurt forearm?

hey, guys, i'm new to being registered, but have been reading this site for a looooong time now. i just never had a question until now that wasn't already answered. i'm right now on a bulking cycle, and i've found that when i do curls with a bar, after every rep it hurts my forearm pretty badly. it's on the anterior side of my forearm, and it's not hurting the muscles, i feel it on the bone-bad enough to make me wince. what is this; any ideas?
 
I used to get the same thing when I used a bent bar. I switched to a straight bar and it no longer bothers me. You didnt specify whether you use a straight or bent bar, but thats my 2 cents. Hope this helps.
 
oops, sorry. i use a bent bar. i'll use a straight bar next time around and check that out. thanks for the input
 
yeah bro that happened to me, it feels liek your forearms broken sometimes it hurts so bad huh? i use using real heavy weight at the time and i was doin about 7-8 reps or so, what i did was take a break for a week, then i came back and was using weight i could do 10 reps with, and i stopped getting pains in my bones, but if you're on a certain routine ii guess that doesn't help you, i was getting pains while using a straight bar, but now i use a bent bar, it works much better for me.

Is this the problem you're having ?

If it is, I can tell you that with me it suddenly stopped... I tried many different routines since then - very low reps to very high reps. But since a few months, I haven't had the pain anymore. Perhaps it is because I train less than I used to, so the bones got time to become stronger or something.
 
no, that's not really the problem-only the pain in the forearm is the same. i'm not overly skinny- 5'8" at 190 lbs, and i've been working out to get that size for a good while, so my forearm muscles are adequate size, as are my biceps. this just started happening when i started the current bulking cycle i'm on. i still haven't found why it's happening, but i also haven't circulated around to biceps again yet. when i do, i'll try a straight bar and see if that works out. if not, i guess i can grin and bear it :D
