Crooked Abs

My abs are kinda crooked. My right sides are larger than my right, is there any way or excersives that i can do without machines to even it out.
thanks

try doing just lots of sit ups... the only thing i can thing of... if you work them both out the same they should balance out.

yeah foreal, cause my abs are one side is kinda a little higher than the other, i think its just cause the muscles lace over eachother

The reason you seem to develop asymmetrical abs MAY be because the pelvis is not aligned properly. This is really common, and easy to fix.

The human spine is often under asymmetrical loads, and the way we walk, sit etc. can cause some mild rotation of the pelvis - so that you will find yourself listing slightly to one side during crunches/back extensions etc.

Go to a chiropractor/osteopath - if your mechanics are functioning correctly, you'll get much more out of you training.

when you do situps, instead of resting your back straight aim your torso diagnolly and that should hit your obliques on each side, now if it is more in your upper abs then i don't know.

Jay cutler has this problem. If he cant fix it no one can. I have seen this question in mags before and there is just no way. Fortunately Bodybuilding contests will not deduct points for asymetrical abs.
Sorry anyways

I don't catch your drift. I'm pretty much even in strength, save for a few last reps I am able to do on the stronger side. The most noticable are my biceps and back and maybe lats, but I have no desire to compete.

Crooked abs.

I also have crooked abs, but the weird thing is that they were straight before, they only recently changed. I think its because i havent been working out as much as i did before, and at work i lift heavy things so my abs don't get worked out the same. Now i am using the abslide, and doing situps. Hopefully that will fix my problem :D

I have this as well, there's not much you can do about it
For some people it will go away as they build
And for others (like me) they'll stay the same even as they build

Cassidy is on the money - the pelvis is the core, not the abs as many will tell you - what happens here has a knock on effect up and down the body. You may have a leg length discrepancy (this is normal) or some other reason but whatever it is, you'll be using the muscles asymmetrically. Try to ensure the muscles are equally tight/loose on both sides - ie if you have a loose muscle on 1 side, dont stretch it but allow the other one to catch up through stretching. Oh and train the gluteus medius with squats and lunges! All the best!
