Critique my plan?

For a little over a week I laid in bed and cried, feeling horrible, numb, and most of all, lonely. I don't have good self esteem, and I didn't even want to look myself in the mirror. I felt/feel unattractive and wonder how my boyfriend can even stand to look at me. Yesterday, however, was the first good day I'd had, and after he went to work I set out to work my ass off. I did a 30 or 40 minute Tae Bo tape, and then later in the evening I did one of Leslie Sansone's Walk Away The Pounds tapes, but only managed 2 miles.

I have a past history of not eating enough, and over exercising. I don't want to say I starve myself, but I do restrict more than I should. Ordinarily I'm a binge eater, but when I get into my work out modes I'm the exact opposite. I was just wondering if this sounded like a decent, well-intended plan:

I'm not working right now and funds are lowish, so we exist mainly on Hamburger Helper meals and pasta meals, with ground beef and bratwursts, etc. I know it's not that healthy, but that's where we are right now. He works nights, so during the afternoon while he's asleep I make dinner. I have 1 cup exactly of whatever we're having (seems smallish, but that's a lot of carbs, remember), and later on 1/2 cup if I'm still hungry. We don't eat bread, and we don't drink pop. Now I plan to add in at least 3 miles of walking a day, along with the Tae Bo tape. I plan on doing that 4 times a week, with 3 days off (boyfriends work schedule), while listening to these little hypnosis tapes at night. So far, I like them.

Overkill? Good? Could use some work?

EDIT: I should mention, I'm obese by 50lb

Make sure your calories stay above 1200. I understand the eating on a budget thing. Sometimes we end up having pasta 4 times a week when money is tight. Although I've found that frozen veg is super cheap and I usually just add a ton of that to whatever meal I'm eating to bulk it up. Your tapes sound like a good idea--especially if you're adding in walking! Let us know how you get on :)

Sorry you have been feeling crap. Just remember to be proud of things you do achieve. Saying you "only did 2 miles", isnt that better than no miles? You had a choice of doing nothing or getting up and moving and you chose to move, be proud of that. I agree with sunflower, when money is tight, add frozen veggies. I know it sounds grose but quinoa is a delicious alternative for rice or pasta and even though it doesnt look like alot, it makes a hell of alot, it's high in protein so will keep you fuller for longer. Ive had it with curries, bolognese sauce and even made a delish salad with it. Walking is one of my fave things to do. Keep up the good work :) X
