Cravings-gone!

Wow, I just got back from Panera bread where I got a not that unhealthy meal, but since lately I have been eating things that are so light and healthy, eating a sandwich (portabella and mozerella) and black bean soup made me feel incredibly full and lethargic. And I dont like it!! lol. I think this is a turning point where I am seeing that my body has learned to like the healthier foods and I am seeing how eating unhealthily makes me feel. I also decided to have a cookie since I havent eaten a real sweet in about a month. It was weird to taste real sugar again. It wasnt as good as it used to be. It was almost too sweet- this is amazing to someone who used to never think something could be too sweet. I consider my being able to get over my addiction to sweets my major accomplishment, even more so than losing 30lbs. My body feels gross now, like its harder to just move, my arms feel heavy, I am tired and unfocused. But this is great because I think I have gotten to the point where I truly wont be tempted by these things anymore. I'm not saying I will never have something sweet again, but the fact that I know my body reacts the way it does to sugar now will help me resist temptation most of the time.

I just wanted to share my excitement over this lol. Even though right now I feel like crap (tired, lethargic, etc..) It is awesome to know how much of a difference eating healthy is making.

Thats great :) youve really beaten your cravings! I have to say I agree with you, my boyfriend wanted pizza hut tonight and since I keep getting him to eat healthy all the time I thought why not? So I had 3 slices of stuffed crust pepperoni and char grilled chicken pizza, some garlic bread, potato wedges and dipping chicken. And I feel awful :( cant beleive I used to put all that away plus ice cream in an evening and feel nothing! Its like I can just feel the grease sitting on me...
Once again, congrats!

i can totally relate!

saying no to things is not difficult at all anymore, and that is such a great feeling! at my school (i'm a teacher) on valentine's day, there was a chocolate fountain in the lounge with all kinds of goodies... i didn't have one single thing!

isn't it a great feeling?! congratulations! :)

I know what you mean :) I get the same feeling too if I've eaten something unhealthy, firstly I find I can't even finish what I used to eat without thinking about it, and then after it feels so tired and heavy and greasy! It's nice to realise how responsive your body is if you treat it nice!
