Sport Cooking with Psyllium fiber

Sport Fitness
Does anyone make any meals/foods using Psyllium fiber? I would like to make a low carb, high protein, and high fiber bar. Any suggestion would be appreciated as i seem to find every other type of bar on the planet when i search.

Thanks

i don't think you can 'cook' with psyllium husk.

what you might wanna look into is either steel cut oats, or, Fibersure/Benefiber powder. those last two are vegetable fiber powder, about the consistency of powdered creamer. dissolves completely in water and is tasteless, textureles, odorless. a heaping teaspoon is 5g of fiber.

i like steel cut oats, but they are still high in carbs.

OK, forget about "cooking," what about making no-bake bars?

Do you have any suggestions on how i can use the veggie fiber that way?

Thanks

The veggie fiber can be used in any way/shape/form you like. I would find an established protein bar recipe, and just add the fiber power to the liquid used in the recipe first, then make the recipe as normal...whether its a bake or no-bake recipe.

I just put a teaspoon in a protein shake. I'm lucky enough I don't have to tote around any bars.
