Friends, i need advice!
I was experiencing two 'periods' of exercise schedule and have been wondering -and confused- which one is more effective;
1) A few months ago, I did cardio 3 times a week during lunch hour, each 45'-1hr. Most of the times I used only the treadmill. After workout I only had some fresh fruits as my lunch, sometimes got afternoon light snack. Managed to loose 1kg in 1-1.5week. And loose some body fat too. But i dont think it's healthy enough for long term, and i don't think I want to live with skipping my lunch forever
2) Currently I'm restarting my exercise regime, on my third week. Sign up for pilates class once a week, and having 1-2 times a week for workout on my own (i do circuit training, i.e. treadmill 5-10mins, then weight lifting on some machines one to another, then treadmill again 5-10mins). This circuit training is actually introduced to me when I got free personal training session in the gym. This time i do my workout after office hours. So I have my normal lunch, and i try to have veggies, cut my carbs, and drink at least 1.8L water a day.
Problem is, what I see on the scale, my weight is just going up and down. After weekend it'll be back on my original state, during weekdays it sometimes goes down. But, mathematically speaking, the resultant is still around my original state! Maybe down by 0.1 - 0.3 kgs.
I was thinking this one is healthier approach. But the result doesn't say that
Do i need to skip my normal lunch? as in having one set of meal with carb, meat, and veg.
Does cardio works better for me than the circuit training?
TIA!
