Hi guys, Im new here and ive been on a diet for about a month w/ working out and ive had some sucess (lost 3 kilo's) 6 pounds or so.

Im paranoid about my metabolism slowing and i really want fat loss (i hate fat!)
im currently 112 kg's (246 lbs) and im 6 foot 1 and male.

for breakfast i have 4 weetbix and lowfat soy milk and a small amount of honey- thats about. 400 calories

for morning tea i have an apple and a 600 ml bottle of water- 60 cal approx

for lunch i have 2 sandwiches - multigrain bread, with tuna or ham, tomato and salad- 500 cal approx

afternoon tea i have a mandarin and more water - 50 cal

dinner i have a musashi protein shake w/ milk- 250 calorues

and then i work out for about 350 calories.

thats about 950 calories after exercise. .. and im not that hungry!
am i retarted? am i in the middle of metabolism slump?

If you want your metabolism to speed up then I would eat more vegetables. And I mean A LOT MORE. Every day I eat around 25-35 oz of vegetables, divided in 2-4 portions. Plus that I eat around 10 oz proteins (no shakes, just the real thing, meat, fish, beans and cheese), 20-30 oz fruit, 2-3 oz bread, 10-17 oz milk or dairy products (low fat sour cream and stuff like that), and of course the obligated 0.7 oz fats or oils.

By eating like this the whole time I have lost 81.5 lbs in less then 6 months, and I am 5´5´and female!! I think it would be enough for you just to up your fruit and vegatable consumption and then you will burn more calories. I know people will get mad when I say this, but I havent done any exercise at all the whole time. I work in a petshop, so I walk part of the day plus other physical work, carrying heavy things and stuff like that, but I dont exercise at all besides this work (I guess I walk and carry for around 1 hour of my worktime).

Hmm you know you maybe right.
im thinking a protein shake and a heap of steamed or microwaved vegetables. I dont mind the taste im just lazy to cook them sometimes- which is ironic cos i go to the gym 5 days a week.
best community ever :)
