Hey Everyone,

Im a brand new member in this forum having Signed up to the Cohen's Program yesterday afternoon, and i must say im really excitted!!

I have 30kg's to shed.. Feel's like it will take forever but after reading all the post's you guys seem to have it down pat!!

I will let you all know of my progress etc in coming weeks :)

Anyway, Keep up the great work everyone!!! :D
 
Slimming tea

I bort some dieters slimming tea to help with the constipation side of this program- i was so sick this morn. Biggest stomach cramps- the runs and more cramps. I think its passed but it made me feel so ill. I thort maybe its just getting it all cleared?? Should i keep going?

I have tried the yoghurt again for breakie and with advice of a mate Vallia Natural is REALLY nice. I can actually stomach it. MM. I found my match!! Water id lacking again- i know i complain about it- i just have to work out a way! Gee, im gunna have to pull my finger out- im jeopardising the increased loss. GRRRRRR at me! I have hit 85kg so i am happy anyway. Im pretty stoked. Its a big step toward being thin!!! Yay!

Hope all are doing well. Its bloody cold today thats all i know.

Hey all, hope everyone is doing good, especially dede, hope you feel great real soon! & a HUGE welcome to Bam!

So i was just wondering, how many of you guys eat your fruit allowance everyday? Does cutting back on your fruit allowance increase weight loss? I know that cutting back on crackers will, but im not too sure about fruits. I love my fruits & it'd be a shame to cut back :p

i'd advise that you eat your allowance of both fruit and crackers. not eating them doesnt really increase the weight loss. in fact, i've found i lose more weight when i eat my full fruit allowance. and if i dont eat all my chrackers, i become hungry and cranky. They're in there for a reason.

Hello to all you lovely Cohenettes! I just spent some time reading all the posts from the last day or so...they seem to build up so quickly these days! Not that I'm complaining...it is great to have so many people sharing the same journey together. :D

On Chewing gum...I don't chew and I never have...opps! That's a lie! I have chewed gum maybe 5 times in my whole life. I choose not to as I find it makes me really, really, really hungry. And I don't enjoy the taste or the sensation. But it's like *sunshine* said, chewing gum stimulates saliva which travels down to your stomach and then your stomach is like 'But where's the food man?!?'

On losing messages...I use the same method as mumbine in that I have 2 windows of internet explorer open (you can have them both on the monitor at the same time - once you have opened 2 of them up, right mouse click on the bar at the bottom of the screen and click on 'tile windows vertically or horizontally'). In one of my windows I have the message I'm composing and in the other I go back and forth through the forum pages to answer posts.

On Fruits and Crackers...I usually eat my allowance of both every day. I don't know whether or not not eating them would increase loss...but I'm happy with what I'm losing so I figure I'll keep on eating them!:D

On that fantastic joke...Thank you gayegel for sharing that little piece of humour with us all. I am not married, but found it very amusing all the same.

Jewls - I would so LOVE to get together for coffee once a month! But as you know I live just a little bit to far away...Anyone own a private jet?!?:rolleyes:

Sassy : Cutting back on fruits & cracker will NOT help u increase more weight lost. ReadyToLose is right.

DeDe : u meant a brand name Vallia or flavour Vanllia??
Anyway is Low Fat Vanllia Flavour yoghurt allowed??

Reload27 no Vanilla low fat yogurt is not allowed. If you read your plan or at least mine states this... it must be natural yogurt no flavourings... add a fruit allowance to this to get your flavor... I advise putting you yogurt and a mango with sweetner in a blender and it is so yummy with 2 vita weats crushed up on to... it's kinda like haveing a ski double up yogurt!!!!

Give that a try at least...
 
Reload27: No, its a brand of yoghurt (Vallia ?spelling) and its a natural one. No fruit or anything. It is actually one suggested to us in our clinic by the consultants. I know we arent allowed to have anything other then plain jane stuff. Its in a green and white tub. In the natural i think u can only buy the big tubs- 950mls. Economical way tho. Its about $5 or just under. It cert tastes better then other brands i have tried. Its pricey but worth having if ur not keen on the natural stuff and u try others that taste ewwwy.It has a unique taste but i am fussy and i actually like it. I will prob prefer that to normal when done with this!

I have been flat out today- just got home and have spent about 1hr in total. Very unusual for me. Found sm sneakers -found a store where i saved like $60 compared to other stores!!!! SO happy. Its always gd to search around-worth it! From 239 down to 189. Woohoo.

Has any one decided to have a reveal night once u have finished the program?? Does anyone think it is silly? I looked at dresses and other clothes and didnt think i wld do it till a lil further down track. I must have looked weird chuckling to myself looking at the 10 and 12's. Last laff will be mine! I have decided to do it because most ppl i dont see a lot of have not seen me thin and want to show off what i have worked so hard for. I think its a night i can just go 'here i am and im not a fat person anymore!' Oh well, it will happen one day. I even caught myself looking at my reflection in the escalator mirrors. Gee i have changed. I got called 'skinny ribs' last night from family friend (im not but so diff i am thinner)so i was heaps happy on the drive home.

Night all and off for more water- yay i am getting there !!
 
SassySaphirre: I eat all my fruit allowance and the crackers only when I'm really hungry in between meals. I have half my mango allowance every morning with my yoghurt and then another whole fruit like an apple or orange in the evening.
It's been a slow week. Monday was exactly 5 weeks on Cohens and i think I've lost about 7kgs.

With regards to the slimming tea, I've found one with Senna leaves. Its called Bekunis (advised by Fornight) and its actually pretty good. Was constipated all weekend, used it on Mon and found myself 600g lighter next morning after sucess in the loo.Good thing about it is no stomach cramps! Its about S$8.50 for 85g. Let me know if anyone's interested.

DeDe : Hmm... will try to find if its available in SG, and have a try.

Tasm : sick of mango... so staying away from it for awhile...hehehe...am mixing coffee/sweetener or Sprite Zero in my yoghurt. Well, havent try mango/Sprite Zero mix thou.... maybe some experiment during weekends.

Regarding friut and cracker allowance. I try and keep two crackers and two fruits (always apples) to have between meals. I approach my day in 2 and a half hour segments. If I feel like eating somethings between meals I will have a apple and maybe a cracker after that if i still want something.If I get to dinner and have not had all my crackers I will have two with dinner and finish the day with an apple if I still have one left. On a few occassions because of the time gap required between crackers I have not had my last cracker. I have found that the crackers and fruit do help with regularity.

For those struggling with water, I sometimes feel like I am water logged but the correlation between water and weight loss is very strong, so i just accept sometimes it is not pleasant, but I want this over with as fast as possible so keep working at it. So in the morning I fill up 6 x 600ml water bottles. I finish the first one with my vitamins while I am getting breakfast ready. I then have two bottles between breakfast and lunch and two more between lunch and dinner and the last one after dinner. Sometimes I even go for the 7th bottle at night.I may also have one coffe and one tea in the day but only if I am on track with the water intake. Most days I seem to manage but it is important to get those first three down before lunch then it does not seem such alot to go for the day.

I have tried the yoghurt and ricotta for breakfast and I find it less satisfying than the egg or whitting that I usually have. As much as I love both yoghurt and cheese they leave me very hungry after about an hour and a half I am looking for my apple.

I had a massage tonight and my massage lady reports that the cellulite has left the legs. This was very exciting. That water really does work miracles.
My sister saw me for the first time in seven weeks and was blown away by the difference in my apperance. Great feeling !!!

Less of Me WOW fabulous result. Congratulations. I cant wait for my 'loss' and 'to go' numbers flip over and look like yours.

I am so buzzed by this programm i cant stop talking about it to anyone who asks. I feel we have the tools now to tackle what has been for many of us a struggle. If things feel they are getting too hard or boring I think about other people who are struggling with the affects of stroke, heart attacks or having to schedule rehab or deal with keimo and so on..... and I count my blessings and look forward with hope and excitement that this programme will help minimize the chances of having to deal with those sort of struggles.

Off now to get some HGH actvity going. Keep smiling everyone.:)

Hey L-Jay! Thanks for asking after me, I'm still here, but have a cold. I've been a bit miserable but catching up on my knitting. Haven't blogged for a couple of days, but have two new ones to go up today. Hopefully they'll be up in an hour or two.

Last week's loss wasn't good, but, aparrently I didn't read what types of fish we're allowed properly and have been eating salmon and barramundi, which are both no-no's. Also the cold didn't help, but I'm still losing diameter, which is good.

Gonna go blog.

Bee Bee - Congratulations on your success so far, no wounder you are a buss. I'm also a buss on this program, I wasn't going to tell anyone but I'm so stoked that I can't help but tell people. You are also doing really well and i'm impressed at the planning of your water intake. Also what a great way to reward yourself than to have a massage. I do this too but my massage lady has been overseas for 12 month, tried a few others but not the same, so i'm hanging out for a massage. It is great for getting blood flow happening and the endorphins increasing and moving. I highly recommend it to everyone.

As for Sprite Light, think that 1 calorie makes a huge difference, but i'll check with my consultant all the same. Im getting sick of diet coke! :p

I had a target to reach double digits by yesterday, but unfortunuately i've been hovering around 101 for the last couple of days, which is pretty frustrating and worrying, cus i keep thinking im doing something wrong. Urrrgh.
