Club 190s

Hello!

Well, my name is Anke and I stay in South Africa. I'm in the 190s (I'm really not used to your measurements, I swear I weigh 89 kilograms!)

I joined a diet club in South Africa 5 weeks ago called Weigh-Less. I weigh in every Tuesday night at my group.

I am 19 (turning 20 this weekend!) and I am 5"8. I weigh 195.8, and for the past 5 weeks I have had an average loss of about 2.2 pounds per week, so I have lost 12.3 pounds altogether. My goal weight is 165 pounds, so I have another 30.8 pounds to lose.

I eat 5 small meals a day, basically wholegrains, fruit, veg, and lean protein. I also have my few treats (especially that darn alcohol!), and healthy oils (avocado, olive oil, nuts, fish).

I have just started belly dancing to keep fit, and I try to do yoga too. The exercise is the thing I struggle most with.

Hopefully I will be able to move on to (or create) the 180s club three weeks from now. Please don't be shy, tell me your stories!
 
Hey guys, is anyone still left in this club?? Well I am around 191 and so I figured I should join this. I was in the 170's a couple months ago but I guess overeating got me here now. Anyways im hoping not to be here too long but we'll see how this week goes!!
 
I'm officially back in the club! I had a backslide right when I decided to get serious. My body just HAD to rebel and gain 10 pounds. But I'm baaacckkkk!

I've lived in the 190s for far too long. I'm hoping to drop down to the 180s by July. It's a stretch, but I know I can do it!

Anybody else have some goals they want to share?
 
Congratulations Angelica!

I'm keeping up with my exercises. I'm so excited to be losing weight again after my gallbladder surgery 6 months ago that left me 20 pounds heavier than I already was. It's sooo good to be moving around so much. Plus, I'm getting all sorts of work down around the house!
 
Ugh. Third day in a row hanging in tight at 199.3 lbs. The scale just doesn't want to move! According to my calorie deficit, I should be 0.9 lbs lighter by now. But my scale is a bit jumpy and seems to only register weights at 1 or 1.1 pounds increments. So I expect to be something like 198.0 by tomorrow. Fingers crossed! I would love to get to 196 this week. But I would certainly be happy with 197.
 
Good luck! I started exercising about 2 weeks ago, and this week I had my smallest loss so far, 0.4 pounds. I'm happy with that though, and looking forward to this exercise paying off... it has already lifted my mood!
 
^ Yeah, exercise is worth it even if the scale isn't moving. I feel more energized and it's a mood lifter. Last night I went to a party of a friend who lives on the 4th floor. I'm usually winded when I get up to his place. Not last night! And then I had to drink 3 beers to celebrate. Doh! But it was only 3 and the party ran so late that I was so tired by the time I got home that I missed dinner. So I didn't exceed my calorie intake for the day. Not the healthiest calories I could have had though...

Cortney, what are your goals for leaving the 190s club?

I was hoping to be out of the 190's by June 23rd or if not that exact day atlest the end of the month. Thats my first day of college but I don't know if thats realistic. I'm house/dog sitting with my boyfriend this weekend so hopefully I got lots of exercise over there walking the dogs every night.
 
I can't believe it. I was 199.3 lbs again this morning. I'll just have to chalk it up to weirdness this week. I haven't noticed my clothes being looser or anything. Maybe I'm recording my calories poorly or retaining water for some reason (I did eat a huge pickle yesterday). It can be frustrating to stare at the same number on the scale for nearly a week. But I gotta just keep chugging along! Tomorrow is my official weigh in day. Maybe things will have settled out if it was a water issue and I'll be back down to 198 something. That would be nice...
 
Yup, 199.3 lbs for my official weigh in. Sucks, but that's life! :p Probably won't make my goal for the month, but there's always next month.

I'm doing good. Thanks how are you?...I didn't want to weigh myself today though because i cheated and had some peanut m'ms but I haven't had anything unhealthy for almost a month now. so of course now i feel guilty and have been thinking about it all day.


I set my long term goal for weight loss but I didn't make a mini one. I'm not sure what my mini goal should be. I was thinking like 175 or 180.
 
I set my midterm goal as 165... after that I'll see how I look and which way I want to go!

I want to be out of the 190's by this week or next... I'm at 191.8 now, wish me luck guys, going for official weigh in tonight, eek!

I'll go save you places in the 180s club!

I hope to join you in the 180s soon. My scale FINALLY gave in today and showed a number I liked - 197.7 lbs. But I'll wait until next Monday to officially change my weight on my ticker. I was really relieved to see that! :p I still don't think I'll make my goal of getting into the 180s by the end of the month, but at least I'm making progress.
 
Hello 190's club! I'm joining :)

The scale said 197.4 this morning so I'll be here for a little while! I'm going away for a week leaving tomorrow (travelling and weightloss don't mix for me) but hopefully I can still lose at least a little! I'd really love to be under 190 by my 30th birthday, July 5, but I doubt it as that's only 2.5 weeks away!
