Cleaning out the closet!

I've been cleaning out the closet today and realized how great it is for motivation, and possibly burning at least a few calories. It's a great feeling gathering all the clothes that are too big for donation and organizing what's left in size order to see what can be looked forward to. Has anyone else enjoyed doing this? If you haven't done it yet give it a try!:jump:

do you rent out?

Cleaning out the closet is fun - but lately it's depressing me as to how much money that I've gone thru... and how many sizes I've gone thru... although it's interesting - I look in the mirror and pictures and barely see a difference -but when I tried on an old denim skirt from 2 years ago that was a little snug then and is now beyond big now - i almost felt some progress...

Hmm, how disappointing. Y'all literally mean "cleaning out the closet"...

I came to this thread expecting some sort of dark secret or something ;).

do i rent out? you mean where i live?

we are living in a rental apartment currently if thats what u mean mal..(sorry im rather ditsy and get confused) :p

i cant wait for that feeling of trying on current clothes when they get baggy. I still have all my "slim" clothes, its going to feel awesome when i fit them again.

LOL Trevor. sorry no dark secrets here :p

Hmm, I truly get agitated at remarks about my calendar age...

Anyway, back on topic...

Well, I really don't have much to add to the topic, so never mind. :)

No no no no - renting out your cleaning services.. :)

Hello, my name is maleficent, and I am a self professed slob who hates to clean :D

especially kitchens and bathrooms

ohhh haha mal...

i wish i did, it would give me more to do in the day ! I don't LOVE cleaning, but when i start i cant stop and love looking at a clean, neat end result :p

I'm on a mission right now... colour-coding closet (yes a little obsessive, but i have SO many clothes), un-cluttering bedroom, completely cleaning bathroom (including the dog) and then the usual daily once over of the apartment.

woooo i like being busy !

Goes double for me

I love getting rid of my clothes that are too big. Unfortunately, I can only get decent jeans second-hand here...so until I strike it rich, I'm down to wearing the same couple of shirts over and over.

the second hand stores near me don't carry sizes larger than 10 - I actually wanted to get rid of some stuff I had -barely worn - in sizes 16/18/20s - and I was told very haughtily - we don't carry THAT size... Yes, fat is contagious people.. and heaven for bid a size 16 person should walk in the store... they would have looooved m 28s :D

i live in an odd area -it's very trendy and full of stick thin 20 something blow dried dyed blonde princesses on daddy's credit cards... the second hand stores are second hand designer merchandise - you won't find a 2 dollar tshirt bin in the store.. :D

hahaha wow.. crazy :p

i experienced some of those trendy second hand stores in London, full of designer clothes etc.

I must admit i bought quite a few hand-bags from there to fuel my huge collection :p
