hello lovlies:)

just wanted to find out some info on something i heard from a few people. i have heard (and read) that cinnamon is great for boosting your metablison- is this true?

i would rather hear it here from people with experience rather than a magazine just trying to sell copies/ people who have heard it but have not tried it

If it is a good metablison booster could anyone give me some recipies i could use it in- i dont fancy adding it to my special k in the mornings ha :)

thanks xxx

The boost is minimal, your money is better spent on many things like good old proven green tea or healthy whole foods! The effects of cinnamon will be nothing compared to ephedra or clen (both illegal and potentially deadly in the hands of the inexperienced).

edit: If you ever have to question the efficiency of something check out this link:

It is a database of published medical journals. It contains nearly endless amounts of information on dieting, metabolism, ect.

There are no foods which cause greater calorie loss than their own nutritional value, no not even celery.

^ What Frosteh said.

I find spices very good for weight loss because they satisfy my tastebuds a lot for very little calories consumed- therefore I'm more likely to be happy with what I'm eating and not be tempted to binge. (I love throwing some garlic into my sauteed vegetables, for example)
