Chinese food?!?!

Going to an all you can eat chinese buffet restaurant tomorrow.

Normally when I'm dieting and something like this comes along, I just allow myself to have a day off but seeing as I have been dieting for 2 weeks and haven't lost anything yet I really do not want to do that.

Can anybody recommend anything for me to eat?

Like the foods with less fat/calories?

I was thinking of filling up on a few bowls of soup to start, but my friend said the soups are really bad?

Please help!

Basic guidelines:
Stick with the veggie-centric and stir-fried shrimp or chicken dishes

Steer clear of the entr? that are basically deep-fried meat or chicken in sauce _ crispy is a bad word :)

Rice portion should be the size of an ice cream scoop brown rice, if youo like it is better than white rice and either one is better than the fried rice.

Go easy on te sauces..

and don't forget it's one meal don't let it ruin your entire day - -enjoy the company, enjoy the food and don't go crazy

if you are not good at using chopsticks I recommend using them now it really helps you not eat as much if it takes many many tries to get it to your mouth then you will only eat about half of what everyone else is eating! Avoid all those sauces that they serve everything in they are really bad for you.

Fish fish and more fish! But yes, avoid them if they r fried.
Sauce wise, u can ask for mustard. Not sure if they hv the chinese mustard where u live. It's super nice!
Try sticking to seafood and veg and mushrooms and tofu too.
Some soups can be starchy. Stick to clear ones.
I am Chinese. But usually I don't eat rice. Unless my granny force me to.
Hope u enjoy the buffet!

Ohz and drink more chinese tea! It should be free-flow.
It washes away the oils and sodium fast. Keeps u feeling full too.:)

stick with the white rice (instead of pork fried). Also, chicken with veggies are always a good pick (as opposed to the heavily fried chunks of chicken for things like Sweet and sour).

I have vowed to never eat a chinise buffet again (last time i ate, i gained 2 lbs, literally)

I know the advice is late, but if you could, do a take out thing. Last time I went, i just ordered some wonton soup, and ate it at the table. Or, if the resturant offers, do the "buffet to go" option, and eat some now, and eat some later, and eat some tomorrow.

Morning,

I simply just chow down on all the fresh shrimp and mussels. Very low-carb and not a lot of calories either.

iaf
