Chaotic lifestyle and trying to loose weight

I am a 27 year old female with a 10 year old daughter. I have had weight trouble ever since I had her. My ife has been so busy and stressful that no matter wat I do, I just can't loose the weight. I have joined a gym, I tried only eating 1200 calories a day, weight watchers, special K, and I am just not getting anywhere. I am 5'4" and weigh 158, I just want to get down to 125 and be me again. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.:angelsad2:
 
There is a ton of great information & success on this site.

Just dive & check out the diaries, challenges & other areas. Maybe even join in a challenge.

Are you tracking you calories? I used to think I was eating less than I actually was til I counted them. I use Sparkpeople.com.

I'm not really sure what to tell you other than stick with it. It gets hard at times, especially when you don't see progress as fast as you want to. Which is where having this site & other who are going through similar struggles has helped me.

Take it day by day & do what you can. I know you said your schedule is tight, but there are ways to get in a few extra movements if you try. Park further away, take the stairs, etc. All those cliche things do add up.

Just remember its calories.

Thanks for the welcome

I just got back from traveling for two weeks and let's just say it has been brutal. The only reason I lost ay weight was because I think I got food poisoning while on travel. But I am trying the counting calories, so Thank You for the info, it is easier than doing points. Thank you for the support though.

Ug... that sounds awful. Hope you got to enjoy some of your travels without being sick.

But it is a nice bonus that you get to lose a little weight, would be insult to injury if our bodies packed on the pounds when we got sick! :)

Hey there...

welcome to the forum. So I noticed you've tried a few fad diets. If anything, get into a program that you can work into your lifestyle. (ie: I don't know about you, but eating cereal for lunch isn't my idea of fun... haha) As for eating only 1200 calories a day... you may want to read a few stickies threads for more info. Good luck.
