Hi Everyone,
I'm so glad this forum is around. Over the last couple of years I've visited periodically, but haven't posted until now. It's so helpful to me to read everyone's stories and suggestions.
I'm aiming to change my lifestyle. I have an addictive personality and I'm a stress eater. I'm about 40lbs over weight. I've been overweight for about 5 years. I lose weight quickly when I'm making healthy choices. I've started to attend Overeater's Anonymous meeting for motivation and support. In general I've dealt with depression off and on and my eating/ weight problems are a symptom of this. I want to make lifestyle changes rather than be on a diet that fails after a few months. I also fear losing weight and then just gaining it later.
In terms of my eating style, I like the weight watcher's method, it's sensible, realistic, and seems effective long term.
Thank you for listening! I hope to consistently stick with this forum.
