Celebrity workouts

Hi guys,

Just a quick message to see how everyone feels about celebrity workouts, are they something that you follow? Something that you use as a guide, or something to look at, then do the exact opposite?!

Granted, there are some very poor ones, the classic example being the Jennifer Love Hewitt workout where she 'allegedly!' ran on a treadmill in her high heels to tone her legs - I've never tried it, but Im guessing it doesnt work!

This week though I have looked into a very good celebrity workout - The Pussycat's Nicole Scherzinger. She mixes cardio with resistance exercises and couples it with a very healthy diet. It is a good template I think.

Depends on what type of workout it is. If it is just a general one, I think most try to eat right and exercise, which is a good thing. However if it is for a movie,i.e Christian Bale who lost so much it was unhealthy and then gaining it all back for Batman Begins in a year or two just for a role. I understand playing the part is important, but Bale constantly has to "transform" himself which is unhealthy for me personally to even consider. Though in his defense he tries to lose weight with forms of exercise and dieting.

Also there are rumors that are rampant with any form of celebrity talk, especially with weight, personally I find it hard to believe silly rumors of how they lost weight. It could be a diet of cocaine for all I know. If they maintain in healthy way I say again, it's a good thing.

That's my two cents.

Try the Kate Moss diet - snort a line of coke every time you get hungry, and you'll have the skeleton look down to a tee in no time.....:cuss:

Tip for healthy diet...

To be honest, I get a bit fed up with them. So many just seem to pile the weight back on. I just keep going back to my Rosemary Conley DVD

celebrities

pay thousands for their trainers. we cant possibly follow their workouts like we really would want to. Or can we????? DUN DUN DUN

I don't think it matters whether you're following a celebrity weight loss routine or your own, as long as you stick to it. The celebrity factor can be good for some people though because they can see a clear before and after with somebody that they recognise and i suppose feel some (even slight) connection to. Personally i've never tried one but family members have with varying degrees of success. Again, its all a matter of the person doing it, not the routine they follow, as long as they're routine is healthy.
