Casein and whey

Female - I keep reading that casein before bed and whey after a workout will help with fat loss. What is the best type to buy and is there any health dangers to taking these products.
How often (daily? How Much?
 
ANY protien powder is simply used to meet your daily protein needs. its just food, in a convenient form.

I personally think a whey + casien blend ALL the time is best. something like Nitrean from (good price, good company, good taste)
 
Read your ingredient label. Does it say whey or protein?

Whey is best after a workout because it provides the nutrients needed to repair muscles.

Casein is excellent before bed because it slows down digestion throughout the night, keeps insuling and glucose levels even through the night, etc.

Not the same thing. not the same results. not the same benefits.

I feel soy is vastly inferior to a good brand whey + casien, especially for men. Until the scientists figure out whether soy increases estrogen in men, I tend to avoid it.
A lot of people get 'soy bloat' cuz it irritates parts of thier digestive system.
