what is it. what do you suggest i do, my main goal for coming on this sight is to improve my heart health. so anything that aids my heart i want to do. heres my stats

female, 21 years old, 190lbs.
cannot go to a jim or by anything as i dont have money it needs to be free excercise!!
currently have chostachondritis my rib cartilledge is hurting from this and cannot lift anything at hte moment and arm movement is difficult.

some suggestions to get me going would be excellent, as would any advice. as i said my main goal is cardio work im not bothered about weights or toning. i jus wanna get my insides feeling good.

Since you're just starting out, I would recommend you try lots and lots of different kinds of cardio, from machines inside a gym, to walking outside, to biking, etc. The key here is finding a form of cardio that you really like, and that you'll be happy doing the rest of your life. You can't view cardio as a "necessary evil" that will last just as long as you're losing weight, and that you'll give up as soon as you get to your goal.

thanks guys. i like walking a lot, yesterday i waled for about 10k through a trail in the jungle. but i wanna try something else also. just to feel like there is variation. and to do with walking if i feel up to it. so what other cardio is there? something that is free. i take it my options are limited.

when im back in the uk the only excercise i can do with out having an asthma attack seems to be going out raving. if i hear good music i can dance all night. often until 6am! is this good cardio also?

Hi there,

actually I started off just playing music that really got me going and dancing around the house. First it started with 10 minutes and then it increased to 30 mins and so forth. Play something that'll get you moving and that you really enjoy doing. If you're working up a good sweat, then you're definitely "moving" and working hard on your cardio. The best thing of all... it's FREE and well, if you aren't that great of a dancer, it doesn't matter... you're in the privacy of your own home! Ha! Good luck!
