Cardio or Weightlifting????

Hi, everyone
just became a member this forum seems great.
I need a bit of help.. i am 5feet 8 and a half inches(22 yrs so definitely not growing)...my weight is 66 kg (146lb)...bmi is about 22.5 and my waist is 34
Now i want to get in good shape have some abs and body cuts; not too much muscles...i am a bit confused what should i focus primarily on?? rest of my body is ok but the thick layer of fat on the belly and waist is bad....i want to get rid of it so i can have some muscle visible there..
if i go for running and cycling i will be able to rid myself of the belly fat but i am concerned what if i loose too much weight in the process...so what shall i do start cardio exercises till i loose most of my fat or shall i hit the gym???

Do some form of physical activity most days of the week. You should be doing 2-3 days per week of a full-body resistance training program - this can be body weight, free weights, workout dvds, etc. Try to do some form of cardiovascular training (walking, swimming, jogging, cycling, etc.) as many days of the week as possible of at least 30 mins. You might start with 1-2 days, then build up from there. Also, look at your overall diet. Try cutting out the junk food, fast food, sugar, salt, sodas, etc.

Have you considered starting an exercise/diet journal? You can find them here: Journal

Good luck and let us know how things go!

I agree to PLB Fitness post.
And then just get in the habbit of feeling you are on the right track. And enjoy every workout, everymeal, every sleep and so on.
And track what is happening, your weight your belly and maybe a few more.
