Cardio after workout.

Hi, i'm 20 years old, 1.74m, 70kg and about 15% of body fat. Most of my fat is concentrated in my abdominal area and so my trainer said I should run everyday at a rate of 130-150 bmp for 30 mins. I dont usually trust trainers at the gym but I don't know, I can clearly see and feel my body fat and most of it at my belly (specially when i sit down) so im kind of desperate. I usually go to the gym 5 days a week for weight lifting (chest-biceps, back-triceps, legs-shoulders) repeating legs-shoulders only once and leaving 48 hours to heal each muscle, will that 30mins of cardio after my workout (usually takes me about 1 hour only weights) at that rate affect my muscle growth ? will it diminish it ? is it possible to grow muscle while reducing body fat at the same time through cardio ? Tyvm in advance.

Cardio and resistance training can definitely go hand in hand. If you do both, your protein (and overall calorie) needs will likely be higher in order to maintain the same degree of muscle repair and growth, but the extra calorie expenditure allows for it.

Try doing some sprint intervals on the treadmill. High intensity intervals are more helpful for weight loss, as it causes your post-exercise metabolism to remain higher for longer. Plus, it will help your lower body strength.
