Carbs Help Please

Hi,
My fitness instructor told me i am not eating enough carbs for the exercise i am doing, can you please advise me which are the best carbs to be eating??
Is brown bread(wholewheat etc) a good carb??

Here are some good carbs taken right off the website. These are all good plus others. If you eat pasta you'd be better off eating whole wheat pasta if it's available though. I don't personally eat a lot of fruit but I eat a lot of the other stuff.

Baked potato
Sweet potato
Yams
Squash
Pumpkin
Steamed brown rice
Steamed wild rice
Pasta
Oatmeal
Barley
Beans
Kidney beans
Corn
Strawberries
Melon
Apple
Orange
Fat-free yogurt
Whole-wheat bread
High-fiber cereal

Tortilla
Whole grains
