Go to the nutrition section and read the sticky titled "how many calories should I eat". Then calculate your daily BMR and subtract 500 for every lb you want to lose per week. Then, don't eat more than that many calories, probably no more than 2-2.5lbs per week for you.

You can pretty much eat whatever you want, as long as you limit the calories. Count! right down what you eat, or use a website to help. If you have a smartphone, there are apps that do this as well. Find foods that fill you up but don't provide many calories. I.E. an entire bag of mixed frozen veggies is 4 servings and only 80 calories, but you'll be stuffed! Limiting calories is the only way to lose weight, you don't need a diet plan for this - they are all the same essentially anyways, limiting calories. Problem is, most don't teach you how to continue eating after you are off the diet plan. Learn how to limit calories without calling it a diet through foods you're used to eating anyways and you'll have long term success and you'll know how to continue eating after you lose the weight.

Do exactly what Mar said, learn how to read a food label and you can eat whatever you want.

Honestly, it is the most helpful thing in the world. You don't want other people telling you what to eat, make up your own food plan and you are way more likely to stick to it.

I agree with the above comments. Basically only when you get really numerical and KNOW how many calories you are eating and change your eating so that you are eating less than your body needs, only then will you lose weight.

There is nothing "approximate" about losing weight. When you get a command of your intake, you will lose weight. My analogy is that if you are driving without a speedometer, most likely you will break the law frequently. Right? Same with weight loss.

I suggest you try having 5 smaller meals throughout the day, releasing energy slower and different intervals, i would say its worth a try, has worked for alot of people. Do you participate in regular exercise?

I think I've found your problem. Dispite I wouldn't recommend eating soaps for dinner (joking), I'm looking at plenty of things right there that can be surprisingly high in calories or empty calories.

Mac and Cheese? One serving (a can..products are different, but I'm assuming not fresh and homemade based on your other food choices)..is 343 calories but also 1760mg of sodium, 73% of your total daily intake.

Hi-C Drink is just sugar water.

Rice isn't bad in moderation, but aim for brown rice over white.

Processed soups is calories but more than that...salt salt salt.

Basicly, I see quite a few places with healthier and lower calorie choices can be made. Do a food diary for a week and try to record all the calories and portions you know (fitday.com is a good place to go). Then look back and let's make some much needed changes.
