HI,
I'm new to the forum. I love it already, so much great info. I've done all the calculations online and found out my Calorie requirement for my body is 3300, I'm 31 years old female. My BMI is 54. I weight 301 lbs now, started out at 339lbs. So I've just started doing 20 mins on an exercise bike, try to move more and just be more active with walks and taking care of the two kids. As for calories I've heard so much, and I am thinking I should be between 1200-1500 calories a day to lose...but I dont' want to go to starvation and mess up my progress, I want this to be permanent loss. So I'm thinking I should eat around 1800-2000 a day, I think do to my size, I should be losing 3 to 4 lbs a week. Any help or input would be appreciated.

You need a 1500 calorie deficit per day to lose 3 lbs which is a reasonable number for someone your weight.

Before you create a deficit you need to have an estimate of your maintenance intake which consists of bmr + activity.

For ease, you can assume this to be something like 12 calories per pound.

So at 300 lbs, your maintenance can be assumed to be something like 3600 calories.

1500 subtracted from that brings you to 2100 calories per day, or there abouts.
