So what do you think? xD Can you estimate if my metabolism is high from this or if it's low?

Well, you obviously drink a lot of water, and you eat quite some healthy food (pickles, chicken, ommelette, apples, mango's...) so you're not doing bad. If your goal is to eat healthier, I suggest you ditch the fast food and the fat dressings and replace them with healthier options. And if you eat at the MacDonalds, take the salad with the grilled chicken instead of the crispy (for example.)

You're certainly not eating too much, so don't worry about that. About metabolism, I'm just starting to learn about that myself, so I'm probably not the best to answer that one.

Hell it's a lot healthier then I use to eat. But overall it's not bad. Kudo's on the water...It really does help...My energy level has soared since I've been drinking a gallon of water a day. I would suggest the same thing as maverick...If your post is to find a way to eat healthier...You should take out fastfood completely...and if you have no choice get something light...like their salads...I just wish Jack in the Box still had their teriyaki chicken bowls..cause for fast food it was very healthy if you get just no teriyaki sauce on it (just chicken, rice, and brocolli)...but they stopped selling it >_<....Also, I'm not a big caesar salad fan so I don't know much about it but if it has iceberg lettuce try switching to mixed greens or something else...Iceberg lettuce doesn't have any nutritional value...like eating water. ohh god..cookies..I want one...lol. But yea..not too bad.

If your going to be attempting to build some muscle by lifting weights and get your body toned I'd suggest dropping the cookies and pasta, bread as well, Really slows down the process.

If you have anythign else you'd like to ask shoot away ^_^.

Heh thanks for the opinions guys.

I can't help it *hides* Xmas time is coming *tear* lol Yeah gotta control... CONTROL!

I would recommend checking out this site: www.johnberardi.com and specifically this article --> http://www.johnberardi.com/articles/nutrition/7habits.htm

I see we have another Berardi reader amongst us. Lyle over at www.bodyrecomposition.com has some good stuff.

You can plug your food into www.fitday.com and it will give you some calorie calculations on your calories.

I don't know what your goals are but I'd like to see more protein, carbs, fat, and fiber. If you could add in three servings of vegetables daily (for starters) and some fish oil, that would help. I'd make sure that I had two servings of fruit, the berries being your best choice; apples and plums are nice because they're convenient to eat and easy to dispose of. I'd add oatmeal and pumpkin seeds for a bit more protein, fiber, and carbs. I would add in some cottage cheese before bed. And last, I'd try and eat five times a day every day.

Yeah. I think that's what I'd do. :)

Hello, I am new here but a frequent many many internet forums.

You may not like what I have to say but here goes.

The only foods that are "good" for you on your menu are:

The apple
The dried mango slices
The lettuce in the Caesar salad
The Water

The pickles would be good if your rinsed the salt off of them.

Now the foods I recommend eliminating completely and immediately are:

Cheese (cancer causing and leeches calcium from bones)
Pickled, smoked, or barbecued meats (risk factor for stomach cancer, high blood pressure)
French Fries (cancer causing acrylamides)
Tuna (high mercury levels and contamination)

The rest of the foods have low nutritional value and are not recommended.

Your diet is virtually exempt of fruits and vegetables. I recommend increasing your fruit and vegetable intake. Keep in mind and you may be surprised but vegetables contain all essential amino acids and protein. For example Broccoli has twice as much protein as beef (calorically). 100 calories broccoli vs. 100 calories steak.

If you are trying to lose weight this diet will not help you.

I commend you on posting here and trying to get advice on your diet, it is a great step in the right direction and most people do not even care as much as you do.

I can comment more if you are truely interested.

Congratulations on trying to find a healthier diet!
