Can you drink too much water?

Hello, first "real" post here, and I have a question. I came off of a beer drinking, good eating weekend, and jumped right into 2 days of drinking nothing but water. I have drank almost 7gallons of water in 48hrs. I went to the gym last night, sweat GOOD for an hour, but before the gym, I took a 1mile light bike ride. I don't feel sore today...I am wondering if my water intake the past two days has contributed to this. Keep in mind, this is the first time in a gym in about 3 years. I should be so sore I can't move.....:toetap05:
 
Theoretically yes you can drink too much water and it's called "Water Intoxication". I remember there was some woman who died in a water drinking contest for a Wii or something....but she also was not allowed to use the washroom which was dumb. As to how much water it would take to do this I would think it would be excessive. 7 Gallons of water sounds like a lot but you are also sweating it out at the same time and hopefully visiting the facilities so it should be extracting as well.

Water is the best thing that you can drink...bottom line. There are all kind of thirst quenchers like gatorade etc but they are no better than water and water is a lot better for you. Personally I am putting down a little over a gallon of water a day that's why 7 gallons in 48 hours seems a little excessive to me but it's hard to say judging by your body weight, etc. Also welcome aboard!
 
I am 260lbs, and I sweat at the sight of warm weather or exercise. So, in saying that, between working in the warehouse that I work at, the bike ride, and working out yesterday evening, I think I got enough out of me.(yes, I did use the facilities, but not but 3-4times the whole day). I thought that I would have needed to go more, but sweating does really work!
 
:p no you wont drink too much if you do go to the loo from time to time.. besides you'll feel when you drink a lot but I doubt it ever becomes too much. that woman was stupid and it was a stupid contest. I think I'd pee myself tbh, have no idea how she managed!
