calories to eat

how many calories can i eat to loss weight and lift weight i weigth 289 height 5"11 and i am 18 i normanly to light weight and about 12 reps i this good for lossing weight
 
as many calories as it takes. are you keeping track of how many you're eating? let those numbers and your stats and progress guide you. :)
 
I found a formula...
66 + (13.7*118) + (5 * 183) - (6.8 * 18) = 2475.2

66 + (13.7 * weight in kg) + (5 * height in cm) - (6.8 * age) = daily average

So if you want to loose weight try to intake 300 less then average. See how that goes for two week, if you loose to much weight add 100 (or feel really tired), if it's not enough add 100.
 
that formula doesn't seem to take your muscle mass into account. if what i read is correct, muscles use up calories just to exist so the bigger your muscles the more calories you will need before you even think about your daily activities.

is that formula from a trustworthy source? something like that would be very useful in my opinion.
 
No it doesn't take into account muscles. I just used it to get a rought estimate because bige979 is not 'pumped' (from his post).
