Calorie intake and Working out?

hello alll :)
I have a few questions. I've been working out almost every day for about an hour between walking 4 miles or on the elliptical. I've been eating about 1400 calories a day. I'm sort of worried that my calorie intake is too low. I weigh 168 now and I'd like to lose 20 pounds. I want to lose weight the healthy way, and not over do it... if that makes any sense. Any ideas, advice? Thanks :)

Welcome!!

Its good to hear you want to do it the healthy way! I'd recommend signing up for fitday.com or thedailyplate.com they're food trackers as well it will give you your bmr and what you should be eating for calories, they're life savers!

good luck! you can do it :)

That looks about right to me. Maybe on days that you do a lot more working out or work harder, add in a couple hundred calories ... but in general unless you're busting out hours of exercise a day, you don't really have to worry about "compensating" for working out. That just winds up being counter productive to weight loss.
