Hi everyone!
I just got the iPhone app called MyFitnessPal which helps track the amount of calories consumed and used per day. The daily caloric intake it suggested was 1,200 (for a 1lb loss every week) - and I was wondering, does that mean net caloric intake or the total? For example, today, apparently I consumed 1,269 calories and used 500 on the elliptical - does that mean I have about a 400-calorie deficit today or have I over-consumed 69 calories?
I'm sorry if this is a silly question but I'm new to the calorie counting business!
Also, would creating this kind of deficit result in weight loss eventually?
Thank you in advance for your help!
