Callie's Lifestyle Transformation

Hello! Well, I've lurked on these boards for awhile and I've found a lot of inspiration from the stories and journals. Now I'm actually going to get involved...yay! I am a college student and I'm working on losing fat and gaining muscle. I am doing a Physique Transformation from physiquetransformation.com. I am really really excited!

Ok so background..I struggled with anorexia in high school and have really messed up my metabolism through the past few years. The concept of the PT is to rebuild and heal the metabolism before going into a fat burning phase. The Conditioning phase brings calories up and into the correct ratio for metabolism boosting. I ate almost 2700 calories every day in conditioning but my measurements and my weight stayed the same. At first I thought I had gained, but I realized the old scale I used was 10lbs off..now I have a new one. I have finished my conditioning phase of 5 weeks. And I'm beginning week three of Fat Burning right now. I plan all my days the night before on the website- it has computer software that shows you exactly what you need to hit each day as far as calories, protein etc.

Anyway...I've lost about three lbs in the past two weeks...which is exciting- and I am definitely gaining/have gained muscle. I am at 167lbs...my goal right now is 135 although mostly I care about my measurements. I'm 5'8" BTW.

For exercise, I do a workout called T-tapp which I think is the most amazing workout ever!! It's unlike any other workout I've ever done. It focuses on building muscle density in the core, up the spine, and long leans muscles. I guess it's sort of like a combo of tai chi, dance, yoga etc...but really the moves are completely original and different. And it gives really good results as far as inch loss. I also like it because its helping balance my hormones and it is an intense lymphatic system workout too.

So anyway, now that I've gabbed about my plan, I guess I'll wrap it up. Oh, I do cardio but only twice a week right now- on my low days because the program Im doing cycles calories so the metabolism never slows. Looking forward to sharing my journey and also getting to support other people in their journey's as well:) Have a great day!

So today I have been so hungry after yesterday's lower cals and cardio plus some t-tapp. I think I probably need to save my muscle building workouts for wednesday, thursday and sunday because those are my high cal. days. Maybe I should put a picture up for my avatar so people can see what I look like.

Anyway, I was planning to workout today but I am seriously hungry and tired so i will save it for tomorrow. It's funny because I am eating almost 2100 calories today, one of my lower days, but my metabolism is so stoked that I feel like I could eat my arm. It's like everything is getting burned up when i eat it.

I eat every two hours, try to space the protein and carbs out equally in each meal although I usually do less carbs at the end of the day.

For protein I eat tilapia fish, chicken breast, whey protein shakes by Isagenix (yummy), and egg whites and then other stuff sometimes. For good carbs I have sweet potatoes, sweet brown rice, and sometimes millet. Sweet brown rice is soo yummy and sticky./ fats - I love almonds, sometimes i use oils...I don't really eat much dairy except for the whey protein and I don't do bread. Bad reactions in the past.

Something I've noticed is that on my high days because of all the carbs, my workouts seem like nothing, even when I am pushing my muscles really hard. I don't hit the wall like i used to when I was doing restrictive, uber low cal diets. I'm finally seeing that the only way my body is going to change is if it fuel it right and really really give it enough food.

My stomach is doing this weird thing, where it looks flat at the top, like when I was really skinny so that my ribs are more visible. I think I've lost inches but I'd rather put off the measuring for now so i don't psyche myself out. Ok, anyway...I may be talking to myself as of now but thats ok..this will be helpful to keep me excited. The end of my rotation is scheduled for the first of the year! WOW a new year, and a new body that will be easily maintained because of my new metabolism!! WHOO HOO:)

Hey Callie21, your new plan sounds really great. I'm always happy when someone discovers how they can rev up their metabolism. I had mine tested on an RMR machine (you breathe into it for 10 minutes and it can tell exactly how many calories you burn) and it said my metabolism is 12% higher than normal for women my age, height and weight. I must say I was pleased about that :D. I would attribute that to weight lifting and eating a lot :;).

I'm thinking you're so hungry because you're eating every 6 hours rather than every 3 hours. IMHO 6 hours is an unusually long time to go between eating anything.

I agree about doing the weights on your higher calorie days because frankly your muscles cannot grow without protein and carbs for fuel and a good strength training program can be really taxing.

You sound like you're off to a great start. You may want to check out lukewarm's diary, she is your age, she started at your weight, and she just discovered "refeeding", weight lifting, and eating more calories and is consequently losing more weight. She's a real sweetheart and you have a lot in common.

Keep us posted on your progress!

How nice to see a post on my page:) Thanks Blancita for the encouragement- i realized I had a typo on the other post- I eat every two hours not six. That would probably make me hungry if I waited that long.

Today is another hungry day- but i am up another jump in the calorie rotation...I'm thinking I might be about to start Aunt flo because I usually don't have the urge to eat most of my food in the first half of the day like I do right now.

I definitely feel smaller in the ribcage area..can't wait to see it come off my butt and hips:)

Ok, last night I did my workout, it was wonderful the entire T-tapp #2 which is so intense. This morning my whole back is sore. It took me about an hour to do. today is my high day so I will be doing more T-tapp . Cardio is prescribed for tomorrow, my lowest day. I love it because I do my low days with the cardio and the next morning I usually see a new low on the scale- unless I've gained muscle weight this week.

Girls, I would totally encourage you to check out t-tapp,com. The creator of the workout designed it to help rehab bodies and rebuild bmr but she discovered it also results in inch loss. She worked as a 'new face' developer in the modeling industry and the models would use t-tapp to lose inches off their hips and waist.

She said they don't really care what you weigh in the industry,it's your measurements that will get you the job. hehe. I'm going to be the heaviest little chick ever.

Well, I was suspecting that I was about to start my period and wallah, i did yesterday. My hormones have been off whack in the past but I am taking a supplement to help them get balanced. I did the first t-tapp and today Is a cardio. I'm thinking turbo jam:) yay

I feel ok although yesterday I felt like terrible gross and icky. I got on the scale and it read a 3lb drop from yesterday this morning and i was excited, but then I got back on to double check and it was back up. haha, some kind of cruel error to make my brain get all twisted.

I'm doing My long t-tapp workout today which has a balance sequene, lunges, and a bunch of swinging leg things for the core. I'm beginning to think that this board is so populated and certain diaries already have there 'regulars' that it may be difficult to get some support here. hmm. well, we'll see.

I've lost 1.25 inches of my waist!!! Yay!! I knew I was looking smaller in my abs...whoo hoo. My weight hasn't been moving that quickly but I am obviously dropping fat and gaining muscle. A new low today at 166.6lbs. Can't hardly wait to workout.

Hey sweetheart, good for you on the waist measurement! That's the absolute best place to lose weight, not only from a health standpoint but also for looks.

I will look up the site you recommended.

As far as the support, on here I think its a matter of getting what you give. So if you go in and regularly support people in their diaries, they will definitely return the favor and visit your diary. That's how you end up getting a bunch of regulars visiting, that you visit them regularly too. Once you get that rapport going with a group, its really great support and fun. It took me at least a few weeks of posting on my diary and in other's diaries before anything got going.

I did high intensity intervals last night. It was so fun and when I got done my body was itchy all over- I guess that's what happens when you move and increase circulation to the fat stores. Gross. haha.

I think I am noticing a pattern with my weight dropping, and it usually fluctuates during the week then usually saturday or sunday, bam, things are down. But I was so amazed at how different my upper abs look and feel. It's like the fat is being melted off me and I'm an ice sculpture, carefully being shaped and chipped away at. Yay, I like that idea. And I got flowers yesterday from my dad which was really nice. Pretty soon I'll be getting flowers from someone besides my dad.:) heehe

I think mentally I'm doing pretty well although last night I got kind of upset because of a picture this girl posted on this guy I know's webpage. If I didn't have a crush on him I would probably not have been as bothered but still.

I sometimes get itchy too when I increase the intensity on a workout. You should do a ticker (tickerfactory.com), I always forget where you're at and where your headed.

just dropped by to check out your journal :) the programs you're doing sound really cool, i'll definitely be checking them out especially as i head back to school and am without my beloved trainer. i look forward to reading more!

So I have to be patient. AHHHHH...
and I don't want to be. Hehe. Sometimes my mind goes back and forth between the "relaxed and I realize this will take some time but time flies.." mindset to "Oh my freakin' gosh I wish I was skinny today so that boy couldn't make me so mad" mindset. Haha.

Anyway, on other body related thoughts...I cannot believe how it feels like my body is just melting. My ticker is not an accurate display of the changes happening in the mirror, seriously my upper abs seemed to be melting off. I keep touching my stomach becuase the shape is so different and smaller. And I can see my ribs at the top of my abs. Not freakishly, but now I actually see them you know? Haha, anyway...love to anyone who is reading...I hope your day rocks out:) Yes I definitely sound as if I am in college. **slight sarcastic intonation**

Ok well I've lost another inch off my waist!!! WHoo Hoo. I can't wait for my hips measurement to start moving:) And I have to update my ticker because I have lost again:) It's amazing to me how precision is so important with what I am doing. I tweaked a few things and in only three days my losses have sped up.

This past week was kind of off. But anyway, i went shopping and I am down one size in pants and wearing Medium tops. Yay. I think I look pretty cute. And I got my hair cut. good for me. ..hehe

I'm driving up to college tomorrow- classes start wednesday. I have a mini-gym downstairs in my dorm so that's good. I'll be using the kitchen a bit and also trying to figure out foods I can eat at the cafeteria.

Also, I have taken my first caloric drop since starting..now my week schedule goes like this 1683 cals 1883 cals 2083 2283 1683 cals 1183 cals 2283 cals.

Hopefully that will get the losses to between 1.5-2 lbs per week. Of pure fat!! Yes..that's my goal. I have a feeling that when I lose ten more pounds of fat I will be down about two more sizes. Then I'll actually be able to say the word skinny:) hehe.

WHOO HOO! I have dropped 4% body fat and I just lost 1.5 inches off my hips. I went shopping and was down a size but now those jeans are uber loose on me. My new weight is 163.4. I lost 2.2lbs of pure fat this week. It makes me so happy! My abs are looking so different/ flat and i can see the shading of the muscles. Can hardly wait for another 4 weeks to pass!

It's been a little strange the past few weeks, I didnt lose a week ago, but this week I lost .8 lb which is great! I need to be more enthusiastic about each loss. It was just so exciting to lose 2.2 lbs at one time.

I cut my hair. Seriously though, I me myself, cut my hair. I don't know what I was thinking. I was super hyper and then all the sudden Im cutting my bangs and my hair by about two inches. It actually looks really cute and people keep asking me when i got it done. No one believes me when i tell them i cut it myself. haha. But I will never do that again. Crazy.

My goal is by my 22nd birthday to be exactly at goal for measurments. I really want to be 34'24-34 Anyway, got to go. my birthday is in march btw

So a pleasant surprise of a new low on the scale this morning. Yay.

It always happens just when you think, "Ah well, maybe next week" So I officially lost 1.4 lbs last week. Yay.

I went to my school's gym yesterday after laying out in the sun with a good friend of mine. We got tan and then did the weight machines and free weights. I also did some t-tapp before that. I think it is really important for me to keep hitting the resistance training hard. The past few weeks i think I've been more focused on getting my cardios in and my resistance trainings have been few and far between.

Anyway, today I'll be going out with a friend and also taking in some more sun. I get really tan quickly because I have a darker complexion to start with.

Have a great day.
